Fulham Chronicle/Yann Tear -QPR boss sends Hogan Ephraim warning

.
HOGAN Ephraim has been warned he could be spending a lot of time on the sidelines from now on after losing his place in the starting XI.

The 22-year-old winger was one of the stars of the opening weeks of the season for Rangers and appeared set to hold down a permanent role.

But a dip in form, plus the irresistible claims made by Tommy Smith in training and from the bench has kept the former West Ham academy player sidelined since the trip to Nottingham Forest in mid November.

"It is going to be hard for him to get in at the moment, but it is for everybody that finds themselves out of the team" Rangers boss Neil Warnock said.

"There's no other way to get back but to keep playing well in training and wait for your chance.

"Bradley Orr is a good pro and he's been in the same situation – so has Heidar Helguson. Heidar started like a house on fire, but Rob Hulse had taken his chance before he fell ill last week."

Warnock added: "I just thought Hogan looked tired a couple of weeks ago. I had a chat with him and he actually agreed with me.

"Other people have come in and done well and he's behind a couple of players now – because Clarkey [Leon Clarke] has also done well." Fulham Chronicle
