Mirror/Steve Stammers - QPR plot double Spurs raid
- Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers are preparing a double swoop for Jermaine Jenas and Robbie Keane.
- Rangers know they will need players of proven experience on their return to the top flight – and the Tottenham duo fit the bill.
- It appears that both men are superfluous to Spurs .
- Jenas would cost around £7 million and that will boost Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp’s transfer kitty as well as easing the wage bill at White Hart Lane.
- Keane is more likely to move on loan while Rangers are close to landing another key recruit for next season.
- They are set to sign Ashley Williams from Swansea City in a £1m move. Williams, 26, has been a vital part of Swansea’s progress over the past four seasons. Mirror

Star - ITALIAN clubs Napoli and Inter Milan are interested in QPR star Adel Taarabt.
- Former Napoli boss Gianni Di Marzio is an adviser to the English side and admits that several Serie A clubs are chasing the Moroccan.
- Taarabt, 22, scored 19 goals as Rangers were promoted from the Championship last season.
- And Di Marzio said: “Napoli are not the only team interested.
- “Taarabt is a young talent and can become a major player in Serie A and play with clubs such as Inter, Milan and Juventus.
- “Of course, the Nerazzurri (Inter) have also made some moves.”
- QPR are also interested in Inter’s Sulley Muntari, 26.
- The Ghanaian midfielder was on loan at Sunderland last season. Daily Star

Sunday Star/Carl Eldridge - NEIL WARNOCK GUNNING FOR EMMANUEL EBOUE
-NEIL WARNOCK is eyeing a move for Arsenal star Emmanuel Eboue.
- Neil Warnock knows he must add some steel to his QPR squad ahead of the Premier League campaign and is said to be keen on the versatile Ivory Coast international.
- Emmanuel Eboue, 28, signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners last year.
The right-sided player joined from Belgian club Beveren in 2005.
But boss Arsene Wenger is poised to rebuild his Emirates squad and could sacrifice the utility man for around £5million.
Warnock faces a battle to keep hold of Adel Taarabt, wanted by both Liverpool and Arsenal – and Wenger would consider using Eboue as a sweetener in a deal for the Moroccan.
- Fiery ace Taarabt, 22, has quit international football after learning that he would not start yesterday’s African Nations Cup qualifier against Algeria" The Star

Telegraph/Duncan White - End-of-season guide to the Premiership
Duncan White's club-by-club asssessment of who is in, who is out and who is the target for each of the clubs

"....Queens Park Rangers - Budget: Spent aggressively in the Championship but boardroom politics makes the summer budget uncertain.
- Out: Holding on to Adel Taarabt is crucial. Heidar Helguson and Danny Shittu are out of contract while Patrick Agyemang, Fitz Hall, Rob Hulse, Martin Rowlands and Rowan Vine could be sold.
- In: Kyle Naughton (Spurs), Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough) and Steve Morison (Millwall) are Warnock targets. The Italian faction wants Robbie Keane (Spurs) or Andrew Johnson (Fulham)...." Telegraph

UPDATE: QPR Official Site - CLUB STATEMENT - FA INQUIRY
Posted on: Fri 03 Jun 2011
- Queens Park Rangers Football Club will not be appealing the Football Association fine relating to the Alejandro Faurlin inquiry.
- This decision has been taken in the best interests of the Club and the Football Association.
- The Club will be making no further statement. QPR

- From The FA Report On QPR:
"....5.5.2 As far as the Club’s web-page is concerned, the report of a £3.5 million deal was clearly false. Mr. Paladini appeared to accept in interview that he was the source of the report. It was characterised by Mr. Mill as a ‘puff’; something that was done in order to show the Club’s supporters, and others, that the Club was going places and willing to invest heavily in order to do so.
""That was essentially the motivation according to Mr. Paladini in interview. Whether one regards the report as mere ‘puff’, or a ‘lie’, depends on one’s moral compass, with some necessary re-calibration to take into account “the ways of football”, a phrase that was used more than once during the hearing.
"That Mr. Paladini was at least involved in some way in the report finding its way onto the Club’s web-site, we have little doubt, but while the value of the deal was significantly exaggerated, and objectively untrue, the motivation for it colour as how it should reflect upon Mr. Paladini as a witness..."
