QPR Squad Numbers Announced
- The squad numbers were released today: No numbers for Cook or Rowlands (or Borrowdale or Vine; Alberti or Pellicori: A few shirts left open - including #9, 15, 17, 18)- Complete QPR Squad

Dave McIntyre/West London Sport - QPR agree terms with Campbell
- QPR have agreed personal terms with Blackpool striker DJ Campbell.
- Campbell, who is now set to undergo a medical, has a clause in his Blackpool contract allowing him to leave the relegated club for £1.25m.
- Born in Hammersmith, Campbell was on the books at QPR and Aston Villa as a youngster but failed to make the grade.
- He drifted down to non-League level but, in 2005, came to prominence while playing for a Yeading side that took on Newcastle at Loftus Road in an FA Cup tie.
- Later that year he joined Brentford, where his performances earned him a move to the Premiership with Birmingham.
- He struggled to establish himself at St Andrews, and also endured an unhappy spell at Leicester.
- But after helping Blackpool win a shock promotion while on loan with the Tangerines, he signed for them for £1.25m in August 2010 and seized his second chance in the top flight, scoring 13 goals last season." West London Sport

Jacob Murtagh/Fulham Chronicle- QPR beat Aston Villa to land Blackpool striker
- QPR have wrapped up the signing of Blackpool striker DJ Campbell.
- The former Brentford and Birmingham frontman held talks with boss Neil Warnock last night, who convinced him his future lies in west London, despite late interest from Aston Villa.
- Campbell has agreed a three-year deal at Loftus Road after the Seasiders accepted a bid of £1.25million last week. Fulham Chronicle

Financial Times - QPR quest ends

-
Lakshmi Mittal, the steel magnate, is ready to walk away from Queens Park Rangers weeks before it makes a triumphant return to the Premier League. The Indian billionaire is open to selling his 33 per cent stake in the club after a bust-up with Formula 1’s Bernie Ecclestone, who has a 62 per cent share.
- This spring, Mr Mittal was looking into increasing his stake to become the majority shareholder but had no joy; Mr Ecclestone said at the time: “Lots of people say they are going to buy things until they eventually find these things are not for sale.” Mr Mittal’s son-in-law, Amit Bhatia, stepped down as vice-chairman of the club as a result. Mr Mittal now says he is “ready to divest [his] stake” and is “no longer looking” at taking control. Meanwhile, the club said on Thursday it was in talks with a potential suitor.
Mr Ecclestone might wish to clear up questions over QPR ownership, if only to allow him time to focus on an investigation by German prosecutors into payments he allegedly made to a banker in conjunction with the 2005 sale of shares in F1 to buy-out group CVC Capital Partners. Financial Times

- Queens Park Rangers are our final opponents of what has been an excellent pre-season programme when Neil Warnock brings his Premier League stars to the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday night, kick off 7.45pm.
- Rangers arrive here fresh from a successful pre-season trip to Italy where they won a prestigious three-team tournament also involving Italian giants Atlanta and SC Braga of Portugal on Saturday so they will come to the Broadfield full of confidence.
- Reds’ Gaffer Steve Evans is looking forward to the game and to catching up with opposite number Neil Warnock, pictured.
- Steve said: “I regard Neil as one of my best friends in football and he is definitely a manager who deserves to be plying his trade at the highest level of English football. No manager in the country works harder and the success he has enjoyed during his long career is testament to his abilities.
- "QPR, like ourselves, play football the right way and it should be a very entertaining 90 minutes.
- "I plan to play my full first-team and Neil has already pledged that he will be playing a very strong side packed full of Premier League and international quality players. It should be a great way to round off our pre-season preparations, after which we will turn our focus on Saturday’s League 2 game at Port Vale.”
- Only Jamie Day and Pablo Mills are missing from the squad for Tuesday night’s action and tickets will be on sale until the 7.45pm kick off time at the Broadfield Stadium.

NO QPR Vs TOOTING

TOOTING OFFICIAL SITE

- QPR have now completely withdrawn from next weeks game. We are very grateful to Ryman South contenders Whitehawk, who have stepped in as replacements. Tooting

Streatham Guardian
"...Tooting were originally expected to play a Queens Park Rangers youth team on Thursday night but the Hoops moved the game to Tuesday and then cancelled it altogether because of a tour to Belgium.
Tooting instead hastily arranged a game against Ryman Division One South side Whitehawk for tomorrow.
“QPR might have attracted a bit more of a crowd but it would only have been a youth side we were playing against,” said Beard.
"Whitehawk will be a much more competitive game...." Streatham Guardian

Milton Keynes Dons are delighted to announce the five-month loan signing of Queen Park Rangers' Angelo Balanta.

The 21-year-old winger spent last year on loan with the Dons and proved to be one of the brightest stars in Karl Robinson's team which persuaded the Dons boss to make Angelo's return to stadiummk one of his key ambitions during the summer.

Angelo's influence on the side last season was paramount to the Dons reaching the League 1 play-offs. His fast feet and trickery down the wing allowed Robinson's men to play their quick, expansive style of football which earned praise from managers, fans and pundits alike.

The Columbian-born fans' favourite, who offers an attacking threat from the left flank or in a more central role, racked up 25 appearances for the men from MK in 2010/11 despite missing four months of the season with a broken ankle.

Angelo suffered the injury against Brentford in November and instead of returning to Loftus Road for treatment he opted to stay with the medical team at stadiummk. His comeback added extra strength to the men from MK's play-off quest and Robinson hopes the Premier League youngster will have the same impact this season.

Robinson told mkdons.com: "I have said all summer I wanted a player to come in who would excite the fans, play our style of football and add something special to the team and in Angelo I know we have that.

"Last year Angelo showed he is an incredibly talented footballer and to have him back is fantastic news for the Football Club, but he knows he has to deliver week in, week out and continue to develop his own game."

Angelo will be available for the League 1 opener against Hartlepool United on Saturday at stadiummk and the deal will run up to and including the away trip to Brentford on December 31.
