Paul Warburton/Gazette Trio target QPR ace
ALI Faurlin is attracting interest from two Premier League clubs and a side from Serie A, according to his agent.
The QPR midfielder, who is contracted to Loftus Road until 2014, has hit the ground running after a frustrating finale last season when his irregular transfer to Hoops in 2009 looked set to cost Rangers vital Championship points.
And Faurlin’s agent Lucas Cominelli admitted the Argentine ace's promising start in the top-flight hasn't gone unnoticed.
He said: “I’m not encouraging calls because Ali is very happy at QPR.
“But when the phone rings and there are two Premiership teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it’s a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight.” Ealing Gazette
Sky - Chris Galea - Cook unsure of future
Winger enjoying the opportunity to put himself in the shop window
....Leyton Orient's on-loan winger Lee Cook insists that his long-term future remains unclear, but has not ruled out a permanent switch to the League One outfit.
The 29-year-old has made two appearances for Orient since joining on a one-month loan deal from Premier League side Queens Park Rangers in November.
Cook has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Loftus Road this season after a bad few years with injuries and made his last appearance for the Hoops in their shock Carling Cup defeat by Rochdale back in August.
However, the former Watford man is keen to let his performances on the pitch decide where his long-term future lies after impressing since joining Orient.
Stale
"It was important for me because it has gone a bit stale down at QPR for me personally and it feels like the right time for me to get out and play some games elsewhere," Cook told skysports.com.
"January is just around the corner and it is important for me to get some games under my belt because my record isn't great over the past year or so.
"It is a bit early to talk about a permanent move to be honest and I'm just going to see how the next month or so goes really because football can change in an instant.
"It might be a case of trying to sort something out with QPR, so that I'm available on a free transfer in January, but we will have to wait and see when that comes round.
"It is going to be an important time for a fair few players at the club because they are in a similar position to me, but this month is all about playing some football, getting my name back out there and showing people what I can do again." Sky

He scored thirteen goals in twenty appearances for the Rangers under-18 side and penned a professional deal at Loftus Road until the summer of 2013.
He is just back from a loan spell with Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side St Albans City, where he scored on his debut against Evesham United NonLeague

QPR OFFICIAL SITE - BOOK RAISES £1,500 FOR TRUST
Thu 08 Dec 2011
John Clifford - author of 'Queens Park Rangers - The Old Days' - visited Loftus Road this week to kindly donate £1,500 of the book's sales to QPR in the Community Trust CEO Andy Evans (both pictured).
The book harks back on John's memories from when he attended his first match in 1939 and extends through highs and lows until 1970 - although he has continued to support the Club thereafter.
In order to raise money for QPR in the Community Trust and the Tiger Cubs in particular, John decided to put those memories into writing. Everything raised will go to the Trust.
You can share in John's memoirs by buying a copy of the book for only £5 plus postage and packaging.
'Queen's Park Rangers - The Old Days' will appeal to senior supporters who will relish the memories it brings back as well as the younger generation, giving them an opportunity to learn about the way things were.
A foreword has been written by Mark Lazarus, a favourite at the Club in the 1960s, and the book contains an introduction and some anecdotes from Ron Phillips, QPR's Secretary from 1966 to 1989.
A visit to www.qprtheolddays.com will give details of how to obtain a copy or write to: John Clifford, 3 Redshank Drive, Heybridge, Maldon, Essex, CM9 4UE or telephone 01621 858090.

QPR 2 TOWN UNDER-18'S 1
Posted on: Wed 07 Dec 2011
QPR: Bruno Andrade 22, Frankie Sutherland 61
Town: Max Leonard 29
Huddersfield Town's under-18's side were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup at the third round stage this evening at the hands of Premier League QPR.
Chris Howarth's men arguably had the better of the first 45 and were unlucky to fall behind when Bruno Andrade headed home at the far post. Despite that setback, they weren't behind long; in the 29th minute top scorer Max Leonard thundered home his 11th of the season to send the side's in level at half-time.
Town battled admirably during the second-half and created a number of good opportunities. Sadly, either good goalkeeping or poor finishing cost them and when Sutherland fired home a close range volley the home side held on for victory.
Town's under-18's Manager Chris Howarth made two changes to his starting eleven for the trip to Loftus Road. Centre back James Burke and top scorer Max Leonard were reintroduced to the side at the expense of Michael Starkey and Dave Melling.
Town, wearing their change strip of red and black, came out of the blocks well and created an early opportunity when midfielder Duane Holmes nipped in at the front post and headed wide.
The Terriers midfield trio of Matt Crooks, Jordan Sinnott and Holmes were seeing a lot of the ball in the early stages; the latter especially was expressing a lot confidence and control when in possession.
The home side too were playing some neat football, but were struggling to hold onto the ball upfront against Town's strong centre back pairing of James Burke and Joe Wright.
Town did have the ball in the net in the seventh minute of the game, but Ryan Cox's effort from Crooks' through pass was chalked off for off side.
Incisive play from QPR's midfielder Bradley Simmonds nearly opened the scoring for the home side. The tall midfielder picked up a loose ball in the midfield before skipping past Burke and firing an effort wide of Lloyd Allinson's goal.
GOAL - After a period of consistent pressure the home side opened the scoring on the twenty minute mark courtesy of well directed header from left-winger Bruno Andrade. The Terriers were left exposed at the back after losing the ball on the left wing and when Marcel Henry-Francis combined neatly with Frankie Sutherland the latter picked out Andrade at the back post who planted a header past Allinson.
GOAL - Chris Howarth's men responded well to going behind and deservedly drew themselves level thanks to an excellent strike from top scorer Max Leonard. The striker, who has been in fine form this season, picked up the ball 25 yards out following a QPR mistake and without a moments hesitation rifled a shot which hit the post before going in - the home team's 'keeper Gareth Deane could only stand and watch in admiration.
BOOKINGS - The away side then received two bookings in quick succession. Firstly Jordan Sinnott was cautioned for a trip as the home team started a counter attack and then James Burke was shown a yellow for a late tackle in the 34th minute.
The Terriers regained control of the game following Leonard's 11th goal of the campaign and were looking very dangerous on the counter attack. Jordan Sinnott was the beneficiary of one in the 40th minute but his tame effort rolled gratefully into the hands of Deane.
BOOKING - Max Leonard became the third Town player to go into the book on the stroke of half-time for an act of dissent.
BOOKING - Max was quickly followed into the book by QPR's Sutherland following a late lunge in the centre of the park.
From the resulting free-kick the visitors very nearly went into the half-time interval with the lead. Sinnott delivered the ball just inside the home side's half and found Wright whose outstretched leg put the ball just wide of the home team's goal.
HALF TIME - QPR 1 TOWN U18'S 1
SUBS - Town made two changes during the half-time interval; Warrick Charlton was introduced at the expense of Ryan Cox and George Conway came on in place of Sean Collins. Chris Howarth's changes were all like for like and Town lined up for the second 45 in the same formation. Jordan Gibbons was also replaced for Callum Webb for the home side.
BOOKING - The home side came out of the traps well and were pressurising the Terriers' back four. Five minutes into the second-half left back Harrison Blakey received a yellow card for a deliberate hand ball as QPR attempted to mount another attack.
Sinnott's delivery had been a highlight of the Terriers play during the first half and in the 55th minute his low cross from the edge of the area caused confusion amongst the home side ranks, but Matt Crooks was unable to capitalise.
Town's 'keeper and Captain Lloyd Allinson had, had very little to do all game until the hour mark when he was called upon to make a point blank save from Sutherland.
GOAL - Sutherland didn't have to wait long for another chance to test Allinson and in the 61st minute he got the better of him with a well controlled finish. Sutherland was playing from the left wing and when Bradley Simmond's long range effort was deflected he reacted first to get in front of Israel Johnson and volley home from ten yards.
The Terriers didn't deserve to be behind and went very close to equalising when Holmes picked up the ball 40 yards out and released midfielder partner Crooks with a neat slide rule pass. The tall midfielder's first touch wasn't the best, but Crooks still managed to get an effort in with his weaker left foot which produced an excellent save from Deane.
SUB - Town were forced to make their final change of the game in 69th minute. Joe Wright limped off the field and was replaced by Danny Morton, who took Sinnott's place in midfield after he dropped into the back four.
BOOKING - Rangers received their second caution of the game in 71st minute when Simmonds bought down Charlton.
QPR were creating all the chances as the game entered the final quarter. However, they were struggling to find a way past Allinson who produced a superb save in the 75th minute to deny Andrade's downward header. The ball looked to have bounced past Allinson, but the stopper showed excellent agility to claw the ball away.
BOOKING - After losing the ball in the centre of the park, Matt Crooks' slid rashly through Sutherland in attempt to regain the ball, which referee Wood deemed to be worthy of a yellow card.
Allinson was called upon again with eight minutes to play when Henry-Francis hit a rasping drive, which the 'keeper did well to tip over. From the resulting corner the home side bundled the ball into the goal, but the referee had already blown for a foul.
Chris Howarth's men battled admirable to find an equaliser in the last ten minutes, but failed to find a way past a strong QPR defence

QPR Under-18s 2 - 1 Huddersfield Town
The FA Youth Cup, Third Round
Venue: Loftus Road
QPR Under-18s brushed aside academy opposition in the form of Huddersfield Town to progress through to round four of the FA Youth Cup.
In front of watching First Team duo Jamie Mackie and Kieron Dyer, Steve Gallen's side more than matched their Yorkshire opponents - especially in the second half - to earn a deserved victory.
Bruno Andrade put the R's into the lead in the 22nd minute, before the Terriers drew level through Max Leonard's blockbuster just six minutes later.
But it was to be QPR's night, with Frankie Sutherland firing home a rasping half volley from just inside the box on 66 minutes to send Rangers through.
There was little to choose between the two sides in the opening stanza, although Town did miss a relatively good chance to take the lead inside the first couple of minutes.
A ball into the box from the right was nodded down by Ryan Cox for Duane Holmes, who raced in front of his marker to head an effort just over the bar from ten-yards out.
But Rangers were soon on the attack themselves. A scrap for possession midway into the Terriers' half eventually saw the ball break loose to Sutherland, who drove into box before dragging an effort just wide.
Moments later, QPR went once more. Sutherland was again in the thick of the play and teed up Bradley Simmonds from a free-kick, whose header was off target.
The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute.
Jamie Sendles-White slid Sutherland in down the right and, when he sent over a pinpoint back-post cross, Andrade got in front of his marker to emphatically power home a header.
The R's lead was short lived, however, after Huddersfield levelled just six minutes later.
Simmonds gave the ball away in his own half and paid eventually the ultimate price, with Leonard taking a couple of touches to get the ball out of his feet before unleashing a thunderbolt effort from 25 yards that flew into the top right-hand corner of the net via the post.
Much like the opening half, the second period yielded very little in the way of clear-cut opportunities early on.
Indeed, it took around 20 minutes for the first real opportunity of half to arrive.
Sutherland cut back past his marker in the box before unleashing a rasping drive from ten yards that forced a stunning save from Lloyd Allinson, who beat the ball away from goal.
QPR's all-important second arrived on 66 minutes. Simmonds' shot from outside the box deflected into the path of Sutherland, who rifled home a half volley from 16 yards.
Rangers had chances to extend their lead, with the hosts seeing an effort from a corner cleared off the line, before Andrade and Marcel Henry-Francis both forced a fine saves from Allinson.
But it mattered little, as Gallen's side held on to book their place in the hat for round four.
Full reaction from tonight's victory will be available on www.qpr.co.uk and QPR Player tomorrow (Thursday).
