MILLWALL TIBUTE TO ALAN MCDONALD Millwall Official Site Tribute for McDonald Posted on: Fri 20 Jul 2012 A minute's applause will be observed prior to kick-off tomorrow when Millwall play Glenavon for former Northern Ireland defender Alan McDonald, who died suddenly last month. McDonald, who played over 400 games for QPR, passed away aged just 48. He was due to be a special guest at tomorrow's game after helping arrange the friendly. Speaking to the Belfast News, Glenavon manager Gary Hamilton said: "This game wouldn't have been made possible without the input of Alan. Alan was good friends with Millwall assistant manager Joe Gallen who was at QPR when Alan was there. Millwall have played friendlies against League of Ireland sides in the past, but this is their first game in Northern Ireland, so it is a great game for the fans who come along. But it will be tinged with sadness because of Alan's recent passing. He was due to come along to the game as our guest, and I was looking forward to sharing a beer with him and Joe afterwards. Sadly, that won't be possible now but we have invited Alan's wife Tonya and son Joshua along and we want to show them how much Alan meant to the football fraternity. We will hold a minutes applause before the game as a small tribute to Alan." http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2855432,00.html?e QPR OFFICIAL SITE - TUNE TALK SIGN AS TELECOMMS PARTNER Posted on: Sat 21 Jul 2012 QPR are pleased to announce Tune Talk, Malaysia's fastest growing mobile prepaid service, as the Club's 'Official Asian Telecommunications Partner.'
