Birthday for Another of the 1967 Heroes

-
Ron Hunt Turns 62

QPR's (small) Center Half/Center Back, Ron Hunt:- Born December 19, 1945.
Ron Hunt made his debut in December 1964 and played some 200+ games for QPR until 1972-73 when he forced to retire with a knee injury at 29.
But of all his games, he is perhaps most famous for his role in QPR's third and winning goal in the 1967 League Cup Final when he collided with the WBA Goalie.
Hunt was just one of a number of QPR players of that time who had come through the youth ranks at around the same time (Sibley, Peter Springett, Tony Hazell, Ian Morgan, Roger Morgan, Mick Leach). Photo of 1967 Team (Hunt in back row). The famous photo of Hunt
