Snippets: Sinclair and Ben Sahar's Chelsea Return Confirmed - But No Play... (Another) Billionaire at QPR...Reserve Victory...Bircham Plays

-
Official Confirmation Ben Sahar and Sinclair are back at Chelsea. (No announcement as of yet by QPR). Billionaire Lakshmi Mittal's presence at QPR's game was previously noted on the messageboards. And slight mockery of QPR in The Telegraph.

"... Maybe the young forwards Scott Sinclair and Ben Sahar will feature at some stage. Both have returned from loan at Queens Park Rangers..."

The Times/Kevin Eason The Insider - Rich pickings at QPR
Flavio Briatore, the Renault Formula One managing director, playboy and joint-owner of Queens Park Rangers, already owns a clothing company called, somewhat meekly, Billionaire. But, clearly, that is his favourite circle of friends. Apart from buying QPR with Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula One promoter (worth £2.5 billion), a new visitor to the Coca-Cola Championship club’s directors’ box is Lakshmi Mittal, the steel magnate (worth £19 billion). Bet their prawn sandwiches come topped with caviar. The Times

John Inverdale/The Telegraph - The Italian Job is a West End flop for QPR
Amid all the euphoria about Fabio Capello's appointment, a gentle warning to all the FA mandarins in central London from their country cousins in west London, about the importance of the new England manager's deal including an unlimited supply of Linguaphone tapes.
Queens Park Rangers have an Italian manager called Luigi De Canio. He speaks virtually no English, and one of the team's players, Marc Nygaard, who speaks five languages, is temporarily acting as interpreter on the field after the club's first official translator lasted only a few days.
QPR defender Chris Barker has said that dressing-room tactical talks are proving difficult, and he is sure that De Canio is frustrated by his inability to communicate, though in one of the game's most trusted cliches, he says that "football is the same in whatever language." Well possibly.
And how, you ask, are QPR getting on in the Championship at the moment? They're bottom. Telegraph

VICTORY for QPR Reserves-QPR Official Site NARDIELLO STAKES CLAIM
Team -QPR Res: Cole, Kanyuka, Walton, Triallist, Howell, M O'Brien, Bailey, Arthur, St Aimie, Nardiello, Balanta. Subs: L O'Brien, Morgan, Goode, Coyne, Rose.
Danny Nardiello bagged a brace, as QPR Reserves produced a convincing second half display to brush aside Wycombe Wanderers at Loftus Road.
The former Barnsley ace notched twice in the second period, as the R's clinched a deserved 2-0 victory in their latest Pontin's Holidays Combination League fixture.
In an otherwise disappointing first period, Nardiello saw his run and shot end with a good save from James Reading, while at the other end, George Daley headed wide from inside the six-yard box.
Wanderers' front-man Danny Fitchett broke clear of the R's defence as the half drew to a close, but he saw his low drive fly inches wide of Jake Cole's far post.
On the stroke of half-time, Simon Walton - making his first start since fracturing his fibula in pre-season - was booked for a heavy challenge on Chris Palmer, as the two sides remained deadlocked at the break.
It took just five second half minutes for the stalemate to be broken though, when Nardiello seized upon an Angelo Balanta through ball to fire home past Reading.
It was all one-way traffic by now, as the R's - in front of the watching Luigi De Canio - continually peppered the visitors' goal.
Walton saw his header from a corner tipped over the bar by the overworked Reading, while Andrew Howell headed over a similar opportunity from a set-piece.
Nardiello stung the palms of Reading from the edge of the area, but he wasn't to be denied and soon doubled his - and Rangers' advantage - when he clinically headed home Chris Arthur's centre.
Walton and Cole made way with 20 minutes to go, with the latter replaced by young custodian Liam O'Brien.
O'Brien and the back four in front of him were rarely tested in the closing stages though, as Rangers finished in the ascendancy. QPR

Good News for Ex-QPR Mark Bircham

Yeovil Official - Cheltenham Reserves 1 Yeovil Town Reserves 3
Yeovil Town Reserves convincingly beat Cheltenham Reserves this afternoon with goals from Ritchie Jones, Scott Spencer and Wilfried Domeraud.
There was more good news for manager Russell Slade as the match saw the return from injury for both Marvin Williams and Marc Bircham, who were both given run outs as the busy Christmas period approaches....
A good away win but probably more significant was the return of Williams and Bircham which will boost Russell Slade's Christmas plans.

Somerset County Gazette - Comfortable win for Yeovil Town Reserves
YEOVIL Town Reserves ran out comfortable 3-1 winners ... And it was also a good afternoon for two Yeovil players who have been sidelined by injury for much of the season.
Midfielder Marc Bircham played 70 minutes of much-needed football after a string of hamstring problems since he joined the Glovers from QPR in the summer. Gazette
