GILLINGHAM boss Mark Stimson believes bringing in a striker during the loan window is the key to turning the club’s fortunes around....
One player who could join until the end of the season is experienced defender Danny Cullip. The former Brighton and Nottingham Forest man has been training with the squad after being released by QPR.
Stimson has been impressed with the 31-year-old and is keen to add him to the squad.
He said: “We are going to try and strike a deal with Danny. Maybe his experience and leadership qualities that he has got can rub off on the other players." - Report
Mick McGovern - 57 - Born February 15, 1951- At one time, a major QPR prospects, who didn't play too many QPR games. We sold him to Swindon and I believe he made his debut against QPR in 1971 or 1972 (QPR winning 5-0)
Ernie Howe - 55 - Born February 15, 1953- Signed from Fulham for 50,000 by Frank Sibley, after we (foolishly) sold David Needham to the coming Champions, Nottingham Forrest for 140,000 pounds.
