Lee Cook's (Almost) Deadline Day QPR Loan

QPR will make a third attempt to bring Lee Cook back to Loftus Road in the summer after a loan deal fell through on transfer deadline day.
Rangers were part of a bizarre transfer triangle involving Fulham, the club they sold Cook to last summer, and Championship rivals Charlton, who took the winger on loan in early February.
It is understood that the Addicks were willing to cancel the agreement - as they did in the case of Scott Sinclair, who was then able to arrange a loan with Crystal Palace before the Football League deadline passed last Thursday.
But Fulham pulled the plug on Cook's proposed return move to Rangers for the second time this season, having changed their minds on the Rs' initial approach in January.
The 25-year-old will almost certainly be surplus to requirements at the end of the season, though, having failed to make a single competitive appearance for the Cottagers since his £2.5m move along the road.
QPR have never really replaced Cook and will be at the head of the queue for his signature - although Fulham will expect to recoup the fee paid out by former manager Lawrie Sanchez.
The Hammersmith-born player has started just one game for Charlton and manager Alan Pardew recently admitted that some of his loan signings had not worked out as he had hoped.
"I meddled with the team and have now put our play-off position in jeopardy, for which I take full responsibility," Pardew said.
"By bringing in loan players we tried to improve the side, but in fact it knocked us back. Now we are fighting for our lives to get into the play-offs. Kilburn Times
