QPR's Week in Review

-
The past week saw many rumours about player signings but no actual signings or departures. Squad Numbers were announced. The new away strip was officially displayed. The week saw a friendly win at Northampton and ended with a defeat in Scotland, Matt Connolly carried off. Rather prematurely, at least some fan were calls for Ian Dowie's sacking. And according to fan boards, a resolution to the long-running ABC Loan. Various other assessments of QPR's prospects were rather more positive,

- ABC Loan Update: Long-term, perhaps the most important news of the week, even if many assumed it was already a foregone conclusion/already been resolved was the ABC News. ABC Loan Update

- Squad Numbers were announced. There had been speculation that the club was waiting until other signings had been made or departures had occurred. Whatever the case, unlike last season, there were no numbers left vacant. 2008-2009 Squad Numbers

TRANSFER NEWS/RUMOURS

- Ian Dowie speaking: Ian Dowie spoke about QPR's new overseas signings - Dowie Speaking. Dowie also spoke about wanting one of two additional signings - More signings wanted.

- Martin Cranie: at the Beginning of week, press talk of Cranie joining Coventry or Charlton on loan. Then later in the week, Portsmouth Manager, Harry Redknapp was quoted as saying QPR were one of the teams interested.

- Gorkss transfer saga goes on and on and on: Blackpool Gazette reported further and noted how he was training with QPR. Dowie spoke about how he wanted a resolution but had no backup plan to Gorkss and Nardiello about his expecting to leave - Dowie and Nardiello speaking. And the Ben Watson possible signing continues also. Report
