Former Wanderers boss John Gregory visited High Wycombe to talk to Sports and Business Management students at BCUC on Monday about his long and distinguished career as player and manager.
The visit, arranged by Principal Lecturer in Sport & Recreation Francisco Baeza, saw the current Queens Park Rangers boss talk to students in depth about the highs and the lows of a career spanning some two decades.
Gregory won 25 and drew 23 of his 76 games in charge of the Blues in a 16 month spell at the helm between October 1996 and February 1998 before leaving to take over at Aston Villa.
He talked candidly about his time at Wycombe Wanderers, stating that his time at the club was a period that he looked back on with great fondness and believing it to be an experience that offered him an overall grounding and insight into the managerial side of the football business.
Gregory ended the talk with a lively questions and answers session, which gave the students the chance to pose a variety of questions relating to his career as well as topical issues in the modern game.
"The students were very impressed with John Gregory" Baeza said. "Especially his knowledge of the football industry and his openness to reflect and discuss current issues" - Wycombe Official
