Golden Boot Award to Ex-QPR Jamie Cureton
"League to Honour Golden Six: The winners of the inaugural PUMA Golden Boot and PUMA Golden Glove awards have been announced, with the leading scorers and shot-stoppers from all three divisions of The Football League set to receive specially designed golden trophies to mark their respective achievements in all competition this season.
The winner of the Golden Boot for the Championship is Colchester United's prolific striker Jamie Cureton, who bagged 24 goals in a memorable season for the U's.....
In announcing the PUMA Golden Boot and Golden Glove Awards Lord Mawhinney, Chairman of The Football League, said:
"A good goalkeeper or striker can make a real difference to a team. I am delighted that through these awards we are able to recognise six players that have made that real difference this season."
