Derby Manager Says Happy if Lee Camp Remains at Derby

Davies happy for Camp to stay to fight for place - - Derby Evening Telegraph

Billy Davies says he would be happy to see goalkeeper Lee Camp stay at Derby County and battle for the number one spot with Stephen Bywater who was first-choice last season.
Queens Park Rangers are keen to sign Camp and the Championship club are willing to pay around £250,000 for the 22-year-old, although the player's wages could prove a stumbling block.
But Davies insists he is in no rush to see the England Under-21 international leave.
"Lee has been working very well in training and I'd be happy for him to stay and battle for a first-team place," said the Rams manager.
Derby, who signed former Preston youngster Ben Hinchliffe this week, do not want to leave themselves short of goalkeeping cover following the departure of Lee Grant who has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
Camp has spent two successful loan spells with Rangers in the past and manager John Gregory is a big fan of the player...." Derby Evening Telegraph
