Signing Number Two. Old team mates reunited
Defender Richard Edghill became Ian Brightwell's second signing of the week this morning, putting pen to paper on a one year deal after passing his medical earlier today. The 32 year old joins the Silkmen from Bradford City, where he has spent the last two seasons.
The former Man City trainee brings with him a wealth of experience having played at the very highest level at Maine Road with further spells at Birmingham City, Wigan, Sheffield United and QPR.
"I am delighted to capture the signature of a player like Richard," enthused gaffer Ian. "I played alongside him when he first arrived on the scene at Man City. It was clear from an early stage that he had what it took to make it in the game; he's naturally fit and a great trainer. It was no surprise to me that he has gone on to make over 250 games during his career. He's still got a lot to offer and I see him as a key signing and someone I know will make a big impression at the Moss Rose this season." Macclesfield
