Sky - Fulham close on Cook deal
By Peter ORourke - 18 Jul 2007
Skysports.com understands Fulham are closing in on a deal for Lee Cook.
Fulham have been trailing the Queens Park Rangers winger all summer with Lawrie Sanchez keen to bring him to Craven Cottage.
QPR have already rejected two bids from Fulham for Cook, but it is believed the two clubs are close to finally agreeing a deal after Fulham upped their offer.
Rangers are reluctant to sell the highly-rated wide man, but they have previously admitted they would not stand in the player's way if he could move to the Premier League.
Cook is regarded as one of the top talents outside of the top flight and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the former Watford man.
However, Fulham are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring him to Craven Cottage as Sanchez continues to reshape his squad for the new season. Skysport
