Rangers accept star player's desire to try his luck with Premiership neighbours
Fulham are set to finally complete the signing of Lee Cook after QPR admitted defeat in their battle to keep him.
Rangers, meanwhile, have had a bid for goalkeeper Lee Camp accepted by Derby and are close to sealing a season-long loan deal for Chelsea youngster Michael Mancienne.
Cook, who turns 25 next month, had made it clear he wanted to leave in order to play in the Premiership and is expected to complete his move to Craven Cottage in the next 24 hours.
Rangers deny that his transfer will involve an initial fee of just £1.5m, insisting they will receive £2.5m up front with further payments linked to appearances and Fulham's future success.
Camp, hugely popular among Rangers fans after two loan spells at the club, will return from Derby's pre-season trip to Italy to discuss personal terms at Loftus Road.
A £250,000 fee has been agreed for the England Under-21 international.
Rangers want to sign Chelsea forward Scott Sinclair on loan as a replacement for Cook and are also expected to beat Charlton to the loan signing of Blues striker Ben Sahar.
But Mancienne's services have already been secured despite interest from Wolves and Watford.
The defender, who spent most of last season on loan with the Rs, is set to return for the whole of next term despite a six-month deal initially being mooted. Ealing Gazette
