Roy Keane to QPR?
"QPR are interested in trying to tempt former Sunderland manager Roy Keane back into football but it is understood he is reluctant to join the club at this stage of the season. (Daily Mail) - BBC Gossip
Daily Mail - Roy Keane not too keen on replacing Paulo Sousa at QPR
- Queens Park Rangers are interested in tempting Roy Keane back into football but it is understood the former Sunderland manager is reluctant to join the Loftus Road club at this stage.
- The 37-year-old Manchester United legend (right) has had several offers since leaving the Stadium of Light in December but may wait until the summer before returning to management.
- Peterborough's Darren Ferguson, former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari and Brazil legend Romario are among the names linked to the post since Paulo Sousa was sacked earlier this month. Daily Mail
Football League - QPR's Performance Manager: JohN Harbin - ONE MORE ROUND, LADS!
- Queens Park Rangers Performance Manager John Harbin knows how to fire up the team - by showing them the words of American boxing legend James J Corbett.
- A poem, One More Round, written by Corbett, sits in Harbin's office at the QPR training ground in Harlington.
- Harbin said: "There's a saying that I have taken to every club I have been to which really comes into play when the odds are stacked against you.
- "It's simple but it's effective. 'One more round.'
- "I've used the saying for the past 20 years. It means that no matter what your situation - be it in sport or life - there's always one more round to fight."
- Queenslander Harbin, a former rugby league coach, has preached the words of Corbett at Oldham Athletic, Crystal Palace and Coventry City.
- He said: "I received a text recently from Zesh Rehman, who is doing very well on loan at Bradford. It said 'One more round.'
- "An hour later, I got a phone call from Jake Cole, who's with Barnet right now, and putting in some impressive displays. The first thing he said to me was, 'One more round, John.'
- "It's a saying that you're never being beaten. It doesn't just apply to sport, it goes much further than that." Football League
Huw Turberville The Telegraph - Reading need home help while Luigi De Canio linked with QPR return
- ".....We have had a few ends of [some very short] eras at Queen's Park Rangers this season.
- I have no desire to become embroiled in the circumstances behind Paulo Sousa's exit from Loftus Road.
But it goes without saying 26 games is no real time to make an impact as manager.
[b]Luigi De Canio did not stay at the club much longer, and I thought he was great.
But wait for it, there have been reports that De Canio could come back next season to work in tandem with Gareth Ainsworth.
Whoever ends up in the hotseat - Luiz Felipe Scolari, Roy Keane or Uncle Tom Cobley - a plea to chairman Flavio Briatore, 'please give him time!'..Telegraph
FOREST LIGHT UP CAMP FIRE- Billy Davies will make a £800,000 bid for QPR keeper Lee Camp this summer.
- Nottingham Forest boss Davies worked with Camp at Derby.
- He failed twice with bids in January but will meet Flavio Briatore's asking price at the end of the season. Mirror
