"...In the Carling Cup, my lot got a plum draw away to our old rivals Chelsea. I say rivals because QPR fans continue to have this romantic notion that the Blues consider us to be their biggest adversaries, despite not having played in the same league for 13 years.
- The chickens came home to roost when we visited Stamford Bridge in last year's FA Cup. The chant to the eerily silent home fans was "We forgot that you were here" and the instant reply: "We forgot that you exist." Ouch.

The Club wants to reward its most loyal fans for our Carling Cup tie against Chelsea later this month and as such, supporters who have accumulated the most Loyalty Points so far this season will receive priority booking for the big clash at Stamford Bridge.

Jim Magilton's men make the short three and half mile trip to the Bridge on Wednesday 23rd September (7.45pm kick-off) and tickets for the clash are priced £19.50 (adults), £14.50 (students) and £9.50 (under-16's and senior citizens).

The Club has been allocated 5,900 tickets in total - 3,700 in the Shed Lower and 2,200 in the Shed Upper.

Tickets will go on sale as follows:

- Season Ticket holders with 100 or more Loyalty Points - from 9.00am on Tuesday 8th September 2009

- Season Ticket holders with 71 or more Loyalty Points - from 9.00am on Thursday 10th September 2009

- Season Ticket holders with 50 or more Loyalty Points - from 9.00am on Monday 14th September 2009

- Members - from 9.00am on Wednesday 16th September 2009

Tickets for this fixture will not go on General Sale.

Supporters who wish to check their Loyalty Points can do so by clicking here - please note, new Season Ticket holders automatically received 50 points at the start of the season, whilst existing Season Ticket holders received 70 points.

Season Ticket holders are entitled to just one ticket, subject to availability.

Those supporters who are Away Season Ticket holders will automatically be sent their tickets out.

Deputy MD, Ali Russell, explained the rationale behind the decision to stagger the priority booking option, commenting: "We want to reward our most loyal fans for what promises to be a truly special night at Stamford Bridge.

"The support we received from the R's fans at our FA Cup tie at the Bridge in January 2008 was something to behold, and as a Club, we're all really looking forward to seeing a repeat of the atmosphere we created, with our most loyal fans at the heart of it.

"Allocating tickets by priority booking allows our most loyal fans to be guaranteed their ticket for this fixture, as well as being able to purchase the best available seat at Stamford Bridge."

R's gaffer Jim Magilton added: "It will be nice to go there, but what's important is that we give a good account of ourselves on the night in front of the large number of QPR fans who will be backing us.

"The support we've received on the road so far this season has been outstanding and I'm sure that will continue at the home of our near-neighbours."

- Ticket sale dates for two of the away Champions League games and the Carling Cup third round clash with QPR have been announced.
Seats for the Carling Cup game go on sale to season ticket holders tomorrow (Saturday 5 September) until Monday 7 September.
On Tuesday 8 September, as per the ticketing policy, season ticket holders who have not purchased a seat will be able to purchase any remaining seat that has not already been taken by fellow season ticket holders in the reservation period.
Members can then purchase a seat on Wednesday 9 September until 5pm.
After that, on Thursday 10 September, members and season ticket holders will be able to purchase an extra two tickets each for the game.
Tickets for the Carling Cup game will cost £19.50 for adults and £9.50 for over 60s and under 16s. Tickets for this match will not go on general sale...." Chelsea

- The New Football Pools have presented QPR in the Community Trust with £60,000, as the Club announces an exciting new scheme that will increase disability football provision across the region.
-'Every Player Counts,' a leading project of The Football League Trust and supported by The New Football Pools, will see QPR in the Community Trust deliver a three-year, PAN-Disability scheme that will develop football opportunities for people with all types of disability in the area.

The key aims of the scheme will be to develop new impairment specific sessions leading to the development of new teams, focusing on increasing participation amongst Down's Syndrome, Mental Health, Cerebral Palsy and Hearing impaired groups. A Down's Syndrome specific scheme for adults will be developed which will work towards up-skilling participants and signposting them to employment. Cerebral Palsy feeder teams will be created for regional and national leagues and more training for coaches will be provided to help identify all disabled participants and get them involved.
- QPR in the Community Trust is one of 36 Football League Community Schemes to deliver 'Every Player Counts,' the first National PAN-Disability programme, this season.

The New Football Pools has developed a longstanding relationship with football and the community during its 86 years history.

Jon Sheehy, Marketing Director of The New Football Pools said: "We are fortunate to be in the unique position of supporting the nation's biggest sport through our Pools products.

"In fact, the company has invested over £1.1billion into football and other good causes throughout its history, with £530 million going specifically into British Football. Community Trust CEO, Andy Evans, added, "Only a few years ago Football Clubs were viewed solely as teams that competed on the pitch every weekend.

"A modern day Professional Football Club does far more than that and here at QPR in the Community Trust we are at the forefront of developing community based programmes. We now employ specialist staff dedicated solely to running an array of community-focused projects for those with disabilities, that are having an enormous impact. QPR Official Site - R'S SUFFER HALL INJURY BLOW
- In-form defender Fitz Hall is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a groin injury in training on Wednesday.
- The 28 year-old suffered a grade one groin muscle tear.
- Head Physio, Paul Hunter, told www.qpr.co.uk: "We sent Fitz for a scan and although the damage isn't as bad as we first feared, he's set for a spell on the sidelines.
- "It's purely a muscle strain. It's a blow, because Fitz has been looking and feeling great in the early part of the season.
- "Obviously we'll continue to monitor the situation over the next few weeks and hopefully have him back in contention sooner rather than later." QPR



SCUNTHORPE TELEGRAPH - No interest in Mahon – Iron boss

- Persistent reports from the London area linking Scunthorpe United with an interest in midfield man Gavin Mahon have been rubbished by manager Nigel Adkins.
- The 32-year-old player is currently surplus to requirements with Championship rivals QPR.
- He plays the holding role in the middle of the park and has experience at playing in the top two levels of English football.
United were reported in the London media to have made an enquiry about Mahon in July.
And a QPR insider claims a possible loan deal could be in the offing.
- It is also being suggested that Mahon could become part of a deal in January when QPR try again to prise striker Gary Hooper away from Glanford Park.
- "Where do these stories come from?" said Iron boss Nigel Adkins.
"I have never had any interest in Gavin Mahon, not in the summer and not now."
Adkins opted against adding to his squad with a permanent signing before the transfer window closed this week until January.
But the loan window opens again next week and it would be no surprise if United do bring in a new face.
