- Mick Harford is tipping new loan signing Tamas Priskin to shine in the famous Blue and White Hoops of QPR.
- Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Harford revealed his delight at finally getting his man.
- "Tamas is a player we have been chasing for two or three weeks, and Roy Keane has thankfully let us have him," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
- "We actually thought we had him a couple of weeks ago but Roy kept him back and played him in the team, which shows that Roy has faith in him.
- "Tamas has played quite regularly for Ipswich this season so I was very surprised that we managed to get him in. We're thankful to have him, and we thank Ipswich for allowing him to come here."
- Harford added: "He is a very, very talented boy, has great technique and can create chances for himself. He's 6' 2", mobile and a good asset for us.
- "He can hold up the ball, link the play, and if we can get balls into the box I'm sure we'll see a good return of goals." QPR

Birmingham City Official Site - BENT BOUND FOR RANGERS
- Striker Marcus Bent has signed a standard loan deal until the end of the season with Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
- The 31-year-old joins Mick Harford's set-up after recently returning to Blues following a loan spell at Middlesbrough that saw him play eight games for the Riverside Stadium club.
- Bent, who arrived at St. Andrew's from Charlton in the summer of 2008, went on to score three times in 35 appearances in 2008-09 as Blues gained promotion to the Premier League but hasn't played for the club in the top flight this season.
- The Hammersmith-born frontman began his career at Brentford before going on to play for Crystal Palace, Port Vale, Sheffield United, Blackburn, Ipswich, Leicester, Everton, the Addicks and Wigan in a career that has seen him play over 500 competitive matches.
- QPR, who were beaten 1-0 by Scunthorpe on Saturday, are currently 12th in the Coca-Cola Championship, seven points off a play-off spot.
- Should the Hoops make it into the end of season four-team shoot-out Bent would be eligible to play. Birmingham

QPR Official Site - EXCLUSIVE: R'S CLINCH BENT SIGNING
Posted on: Mon 01 Feb 2010
- QPR have completed the loan signing of Birmingham City front-man Marcus Bent.
- The 31 year-old striker has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the 2009/10 season and is in line to make his Rangers debut against Peterborough United this weekend.
- A veteran of 12 Clubs during his professional career, Bent spent time on loan at fellow Championship outfit Middlesbrough earlier this season, featuring eight times in all competitions.
- His career goal record makes for pretty impressive reading, having netted 110 goals in 545 appearances in all competitions. QPR

QPR Official Site - HARFORD HAILS BENT ARRIVAL
- R's boss Mick Harford believes Marcus Bent's arrival will give the R's a much-needed boost in the attacking third.
- Bent has penned a loan deal until the end of the season and Harford is confident the Hammersmith born striker can make an impact in W12.
- "Marcus is a great addition to the squad," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
- "We have searched high and low for the right type of striker, and Marcus became available only the other day so we jumped at the opportunity to bring him in.
- "He's strong, pacy and knows the game.
- "He has played at all levels and has scored plenty of goals both in this division and the Premier League.
- "He's got that burst of pace to get us up the pitch and to turn teams.
- "He can also score tap-ins, which is perhaps what we needed against Scunthorpe on Saturday. We do seem to get ourselves in good positions, and we just need that certain type of striker to finish those chances off."
- Harford added: "I'd like to think Marcus' signing will also give the rest of the squad a bit of a lift. We have been a bit thin on the ground in terms of strikers - on Saturday we had Rowan Vine and Jay Simpson up front, and the only cover we had for them was young Antonio German.
- "So Marcus' arrival will provide real competition for places, which is what we want." QPR

QPR Official Site - BENT 'BUZZING' ABOUT QPR SWITCH
- New R's signing Marcus Bent admits he is buzzing about the chance of playing regularly for QPR and 'can't wait to get started.'
- The Birmingham City striker penned a loan deal until the end of the season earlier today and speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, he revealed his delight at penning a deal in W12, commenting: "I've been hearing rumours about the possibility of the move for a few weeks to be honest, but nothing ever came of it. Then I got a call yesterday asking if I would be interested in joining QPR, and I jumped at it.
- "I'm buzzing about coming here. I was brought up in Shepherds Bush and I used to go and watch the likes of Les Ferdinand and Andy Impey with my dad and my uncle.
- "As a kid you often followed the likes of Liverpool, and John Barnes was my idol, but QPR was definitely a team I followed and looked out for."
- Bent added: "There might be a bit of pressure on me to come in and get goals, but I thrive on that to be honest. I think being under pressure beings the best out in you, and I put great demands on myself anyway.
- "I want to play games, that's what you train all week for - to be involved on a matchday. That's every footballer's goal, and is definitely the case with me.
- "I played a few games with Middlesbrough this season, which was great because it really helped with my fitness.
- "Now I am feeling really fit and I am ready to go, I can't wait to get started." QPR

AINSWORTH RETURNS
Posted on: Mon 01 Feb 2010
Blues boss Gary Waddock has snapped up Gareth Ainsworth on a free transfer, wwfc.com can exclusively reveal.

Ainsworth arrives at Adams Park on an 18-month contract after leaving Championship side Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The move sees the midfielder return to Wycombe after he enjoyed a one-month loan spell with Waddock's Wanderers in November.

Ainsworth, 36, was a massive hit in his first stint with the club, playing an integral role in the Blues' 2-0 win over Millwall and picking up the man-of-the-match award in the 1-0 victory over Brentford.

However, injury cut short the former Wimbledon star's first stay at Adams Park, and the Chairboys fans will have to wait another two weeks to see Ainsworth in action as he is still recovering from a calf problem.

Blues boss Gary Waddock told wwfc.com: "I'm delighted to have him on board on a permanent basis. Everyone knows what you are going to get with him and we all saw that during his loan spell. It's an excellent signing for us."
