- QUEENS Park Rangers will be Crawley Town's next big time opponents during pre-season.
Rangers' boss Neil Warnock will bring his side to Broadfield Stadium on Thursday, July 29.
- Rangers are expected to be one of the favourites for promotion to The Premiership next term under new boss Neil Warnock, who brought his last club, Crystal Palace to Crawley last summer to take on Steve Evans' Reds.
- Warnock is expected to spend big in the summer transfer window to put a squad in place worthy of challenging for a place in the Premier League.
- Warnock said: '"I always like my lads to get a real test before the big kick-off.
- "We go down to the West Country early but when we get closer to our opening league fixture I could think of no better place to get a test than play against a team managed by Steve Evans.
- "I took my Palace team to Crawley and it was a proper game, lots of good football, very competitive and of course they have an excellent pitch and facilities, more of the same will do nicely."
- A delighted Evans said: "Queens Park Rangers is a great fixture for us. After many conversations with Neil Warnock I can only thank him.
- "They are a big traditional London club with some outstanding supporters and I would imagine Neil has had hundreds of requests for a pre-season match so we are delighted, perhaps even fortunate to secure this fixture."

- Championship club Queens Park Rangers have confirmed they will bring a full strength R's team to The Broadfield Stadium on Thursday 29th July 2010 as part of their pre season schedule.
- The Reds are already scheduled to host a full strength Millwall on Saturday 10th July 2010 so Steve Evans men look like they are in for an exciting but tough pre season campaign.
- R's boss Neil Warnock will bring his troops home from a pre season trip and head to The Broadfield Stadium where he believes his team will get a solid test close to the start of the new season.
- Rangers are expected to be one of the favourites for promotion to The Premiership next term under new boss Neil Warnock and he is expected to spend big in the summer transfer window to put a squad in place that is worthy of challenging for a place in The Premiership, of course described by many football experts as the best league in world football.
- Speaking after agreeing to bring the R's to The Broadfield Stadium Neil said, '' I always like my lads to get a real test before the big kick off. We go down to the West Country early but when we get closer to our opening league fixture I could think of no better place to get a test than play against a team managed by Steve Evans.
- '' Our pre season schedule is still to be finalised but it is coming together very nicely. I took my Palace team to Crawley and it was a proper game, lots of good football, very competitive and of course they have an excellent pitch and facilities, more of the same will do nicely''.
- Steve Evans was delighted to get the fixture. He said, '' Queens Park Rangers is a great fixture for us. After many conversations with Neil Warnock I can only thank him. They are a big traditional London club with some outstanding supporters and I would imagine Neil has had hundreds of requests for a pre season match so we are delighted, perhaps even fortunate to secure this fixture''.
- '' Neil likes his team to get competitive matches late in pre season and he knows he will get that here. Queens Park Rangers supporters are in for a very exciting season under Neil Warnock, Mick Jones (R's Assistant) and Keith Curle (R's First Team Coach), they will be recruiting some very talented players and I for one look forward to seeing them here at our Stadium in July''.
- As advised the match is on Thursday 29th July 2010, the action will kick off at 7.45pm. Crawley
