QPR OFFICIAL SITE - MACKIE RELISHING CZECH CLASH
- Jamie Mackie was as excited as a kid in a sweet shop when www.qpr.co.uk caught up with him on Friday morning.
- Buoyed by being named npower Championship Player of the Month for September just 24 hours earlier, the 25 year-old now has his sights firmly set on making his Scotland debut against the Czech Republic in Prague tonight.
- Speaking from the team hotel in the capital City, Mackie expressed his excitement at the prospect of lining up for the Scots in their Euro 2012 qualifier at the Synot Tip Arena.
- "I'm really looking forward to the game against the Czechs," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
- "It would mean so much to me and my family to pull on the famous Scotland shirt."
- Mackie added: "I've settled in really well.
- "There are always going to be nerves when you join up with your new colleagues for the first time, but the lads have been great with me, like they were at QPR following my switch from Plymouth in the summer.
- "Craig Levein has been great with me.
- "He's a completely different Manager to Neil Warnock, but I've enjoyed the training and there's a good feeling in the squad."
- *Any R's fans who want to see Jamie in action tonight can do so by tuning in to BBC One Scotland - Sky channel 971. QPR
