Talksport/Julian Bennets - QPR to re-sign Spurs youngster on loan
- QPR will re-sign Tottenham youngster Kyle Walker on loan this week.
And the deal will be classified as a 'youth loan', meaning it is a rolling deal that could run until the end of the season.
- But as part of the agreement Spurs would be able to recall the 20-year-old at any time.

- Walker joined the Championship leaders on a one-month loan deal in September, but that expires after the international break.
- And Neil Warnock is desperate to keep the defender, who started every one of QPR's games during his initial stay at Loftus Road.
It is also thought that Walker is keen to extend his stay with QPR as he will be given the chance to play regular first-team football.
- But one potential problem with the youth loan agreement is that it will expire on Walker's 21st birthday, which is on May 28 next year.
- And with the Championship play-off Final not until May 30 there is a chance Walker could miss the big game if Rangers reach the Final at Wembley. Talksport

SPORT.CO - Ex-QPR Youth Goalie, LIAM O'BRIEN RELEASED BY PORTSMOUTH

- "...Meanwhile, teenage goalkeeper Liam O'Brien's contract has been cancelled, with Cotterill adding: "It's a balancing act and Liam was out of contract at the end of the season.
- "He's been released, not based on us signing any players, but personal judgement and whether he was going to play here or not."
-The 18-year-old recently spent a period on loan at Eastbourne Borough." SPORT.CO

VITAL PORTSMOUTH
"... It has been confirmed, not officially but in The News, by Steve Cotterill that Liam O'Brien has had his contract terminated.
Cotterill says that this decision is based purely on his ability as he does not believe that the U19 international possesses the quality that he feels he needs to make the grade at Fratton, with his seemingly unsuccessful loan spell with Eastbourne confirming this for him: 'it's a balancing act and Liam was out of contract at the end of the season.
'He has been released, not based on us signing any players, but personal judgement and whether he was going to play here or not.
'We have looked at that, he's only a young boy and needs to go out and get on with his career.
'I think by him being a free transfer it may make it easier for him to get a club and we have circulated his name.
'He's been out on loan at Eastbourne, had a couple of games, then they left him out of the team so we had to make a judgement. And that's what we decided to do.'......"

QPR Official Site - GAFFER MAKES HISTORY!
Posted on: Fri 08 Oct 2010

R's gaffer Neil Warnock had extra reason to cheer his September npower Manager of Month award this week.

By scooping the award for the second time this season on Thursday lunchtime, Warnock has set a new Championship record in winning the gong for a sixth time, one more than Nottingham Forest Manager Billy Davies who he previously shared the record with.

Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, a delighted Warnock said: "I'm absolutely delighted.

"Last month people thought there was a curse and we proved them all wrong!

"This isn't just a fantastic award for me, it's for the whole Club, including the backroom staff and the players."

Warnock first won the award as Sheffield United boss in December 2004.

He went on to win the gong on two more occasions with the Blades, before winning it again as Crystal Palace boss.

And with the R's unbeaten at the summit of the Championship, Warnock has already added two more trophies to his cabinet this season, taking his total to an astonishing SIX!

Sue Heritage - npower Sponsorship PR Manager - commented: "This record is evidence of Neil Warnock's distinguished managerial career.

"As proud sponsors of The Football League, npower would like to congratulate Neil on this great achievement." QPR
