How The 2006-07 Season Began:
QPR started the season as one of the bookeepers favourites for relegation (as were Colchester!). The team had just returned from their pre-season Italy trip; gary Waddock in the summer had been confirmed as the manager with Alan McDonald as Assistant manager; and Simon Skinner come in to coach the Reserves. On the Board, Dunga had just been appointed to manage Brazil. And of course, as per norm, various off-the-field issues (and rumours).
Since the First Team Squad numbers were announced pre-season, 16 (actually 17 including Ugo Ukah) of this squad has either left or are being released post-season. And conceivably 2 or 3 others might leave.

[And Not counting loans who played for QPR this season, such as Lee Camp and Inigo Idiakez, who have already returned; or other loans such as Smith and Mancienne from Chelsea; and Rohan Ricketts, loaned from Wolves)
For QPR's Opening Game against Burnley, Danny Shittu had net officially been sold and Rehman and Blackstock had not yet signed:
