QPR Official Site - 'HOOPS' REWARDED
- 'Hoops' - the Club's official matchday programme - has once again featured prominently in the Northern Programme Club's annual programme awards.
- Following hot on the heels of scooping the Best Read and Best Value awards for the Coca Cola Championship last season, the ever-popular publication has once again been rewarded in the 2008/09 honours list.
- 'Hoops' scooped the Best Design award, as well as finishing runner-up in the Best Cover Design, Best Read and Best Value for Money categories.
- And to round things off, 'Hoops' was also awarded a special Merit Award, given to programmes which are regarded as consistent in giving a combination of excellent value for money, content and design, as well as photograph quality.
- Jack Mitton, Secretary of the Northern Programme Club, told www.qpr.co.uk: "The QPR programme 'Hoops' is a magnificent programme, which offers its readers outstanding value for money.
- "For the second year in succession it has won awards in our competition and congratulations must go to the editorial team on this fine honour."
- He added: "The judges were extremely impressed with 'Hoops' again this term, and if not for three programmes (Burnley, Derby County and Blackpool) which surprised almost everyone, I am sure that the Editor, Ian Taylor, would have had a Championship winner on his hands."
- 'Hoops' Editor, Ian Taylor, added: "I'm delighted with these results.
- "As a department, we are constantly striving to achieve the highest possible standards and this latest endorsement is a huge fillip for the Press and Publications team at the Club.
- "It's been a pleasure working with our designers, Cre8, and I'd also like to thank all our contributors, especially Paul Morrissey and Tony Incenzo, for their support and hard work over the course of the season." QPR Official Site
