QPR RESERVES BEAT WATFORD RESERVES
OFFICIAL SITE - COOK SERVES UP A DOUBLE
Posted on: Tue 21 Feb 2012
QPR Reserves ran out convincing 4-2 winners against Watford at London Colney this afternoon.
A brace from Lee Cook and further strikes from Federico Macheda and Angelo Balanta clinched a comfortable win for the R's.
Marc Bircham, who oversaw the victory, commented: "It was probably one of our best displays of the season.
"The lads were excellent and Angelo capped it with a brilliant volley late on."
QPR led 2-0 at the break, thanks to Macheda's second minute strike and a Cook goal on the half hour.
The Hornets - to their credit - rallied briefly after the break, pulling a goal back early in the second half.
But Rangers stepped back on the gas, with Cook's second a minute later and Balanta's wondergoal sandwiching a second for the 'Orns on 75 minutes.
