IMS SCOUTING - Sporting Lisbon eye move for QPR midfield maestro Adel Taarabt
February 07, 2011

- Sporting Lisbon are reportedly eying a summer swoop for QPR midfield maestro Adel Taarabt .
- According to Portuguese sources, Sporting have been following the Moroccan for some time, and with great interest.
- The 21-year-old former Tottenham player has been a sensation for the Championship leaders in their promotion push this season, and has apparently also sparked interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
- He has scored 14 goals and set up 10 this term, giving him a staggering efficiency ratio of a goal or assist every 99.63 minutes. IMS Scouting

Football League

It's goals that win games but conceding them can so often prove costly , so it's no surprise to see the teams that are doing well also topping the clean sheet table.

npower Championship
- Queens Park Rangers have spent a large proportion of the season top of the table and that's down largely to the fact they've kept 16 sheets from their 29 games so far.
- Of the other 13 games when they have been breached, they've only conceded 18 goals, the lowest in the entire Football League.
- For Swansea City clean sheets have become something of a habit, they secured the most in the division last season with 24, and have carried that on so far as they sit just behind QPR with 14.
- They currently sit third in the npower Championship table but they have scored the lowest number of goals in the top 11, making the clean sheets even more important.
- Millwall sit third in the clean sheet table with 13, just one ahead of Hull City.
- It's probably no surprise to see the division's bottom side Preston North End having secured the least number of shut outs so far.
- Phil Brown's side have managed to keep out the opposition on just three occasions so far, a statistic they share with Portsmouth. North End have conceded 49 goals in the other 24 games at an average of over two a game....
