UPDATE: Sporting Life - HARFORD SET TO STEP ASIDE
- Mick Harford will be in charge of QPR for Saturday's trip to Middlesbrough - but expects it to be his last game at the helm.
- Caretaker boss Harford met with Ishan Saksena, Flavio Briatore's replacement as chairman, on Tuesday afternoon.- While he was not told of any concrete decision having been made, Press Association Sport understands the former Luton manager, who was initially given the job until the end of the season, is resigned to stepping aside.
- Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock remains favourite to take over, but he is adamant he will be in charge of the Eagles for their trip to Doncaster on Saturday. Warnock revealed he plans to visit a friend in Doncaster and has already booked his hotel room on Friday night, as well as claiming the match is far more important than Wednesday night's FA Cup replay at Aston Villa. The Question For The New Era: Who Now Owns How Much of QPR

The big question that QPR fans are wondering: How many shares actually changed hands? What percentage of the shares are now held by the Mittal Family, Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone (and any other share holdings)?
Last week's Official Statement gave no indication about this. "The Board of Directors of QPR Holdings Ltd today announces Flavio Briatore has decided to step down as Chairman with immediate effect. The Board has appointed Ishan Saksena as the new Chairman. The Mittal Family has also taken the opportunity to increase its shareholding in the club...QPR would like to thank Flavio Briatore for his great contribution and commitment during his time as Chairman of the club, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.Both Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone remain shareholders of the club...."
There are various newspaper and messageboard rumours. But nothing conclusive. That can be easily remedied by a club statement just announcing the updated share ownership. No confidential information is sought. Just this seemingly Fact.
(There is also a question whether there is any change re the post-ABC Loan status. That loan is now owed to Amulya, which itself is owned jointly by Bhatia and Briatore. Is there going to be any change regarding Briatore's involvement vis-a-vis Amulya?)
