- Isaiah Osbourne: The Mirror/James Nursey - QPR put Villa loan move on hold- QPR have put a proposed loan move for Aston Villa’s Isaiah Osbourne on ice until they have appointed a new boss.
Villa midfielder Osbourne, 22, hasn’t featured for Martin O’Neill’s side this term and was sent on loan to Middlesbrough last year.
QPR caretaker Mick Harford intended to snap Osborne up last week but Rangers are set to axe him.
Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is waiting in the wings to take charge and the Rangers board don’t want Harford spending any more cash.
He has already brought in strikers Marcus Bent and Tamas Priskin from Birmingham and Ipswich respectively but the pair are yet to score and both injured.
They may now be sent back as Warnock has his own wish-list including Palace trio Darren Ambrose, Neil Danns and Nathaniel Clyne. The Mirror

Telegraph/Rory Smith - Queens Park Rangers chairman urged to 'analyse' Flavio Briatore's dealings
- Flavio Briatore's replacement as Queens Park Rangers chairman, Ishan Saksena, has been urged to "carefully analyse" all of the Italian's dealings over his 2½-year tenure at Loftus Road by the club's former majority shareholder.
- Briatore resigned abruptly last week, citing his need to "focus his energies" elsewhere, though he remains a shareholder in the club.
- The former Renault F1 team principal, who bought QPR with Bernie Ecclestone in 2007, had employed 11 managers in his time at the club, and stood accused of interfering in team affairs.
- His departure came just days after Telegraph Sport revealed that Antonio Caliendo, the club's former chairman and part of the consortium from which Briatore bought the club, had written to Lord Triesman, the chairman of the Football Association, asking for the circumstances of Briatore's takeover to be investigated.
- Caliendo, who has asked that Triesman examine whether "the transfer [of Caliendo's shareholding] was done in a proper, legal and transparent manner", has also instituted proceedings against Mishcon de Reya, the club's lawyers at the time of the takeover, over alleged complications relating to the sale of his stake. "In three years, Mr Briatore has raised ticket prices and sold off promising players," said Caliendo. "His arrogance turned QPR into a laughing stock. I hope the new administration will carefully analyse all of Mr Briatore's actions while at the helm of the club." Telegraph

Elvijs Putnins has joined Southern League Premier Division side Hemel Hempstead on a month's loan. The 18-year-old Latvian goalkeeper will stay with Hemel until 20th March. QPR

- Matt Connolly faces a race against time to be fit for this Saturday's clash with Middlesbrough after he picked up an ankle injury at the weekend.
- With just five minutes remaining in the 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers at Loftus Road, the 22-year old rolled his ankle when going in for a challenge.
- QPR Head Physio Paul Hunter explained to www.qpr.co.uk that while Connolly is up against it to be ready for the trip to the Riverside Stadium, he is hopeful that the defender will be fit and ready come Saturday afternoon.
- "As Matt went to block a shot, the ball hit his leg causing him to roll his ankle," said Hunter.
- "He came off and didn't look too bad, he's undergoing treatment now and we'll see how it goes over the next few days.
- "The bruising is coming out quite nicely now so we're hopeful he'll be ready for the weekend."
- Meanwhile, Hunter added that Peter Ramage - who picked up a lower abdominal strain in that win over Doncaster - has responded well to treatment and is likely to make the trip to the North East " QPR
Flashback: Mark Lazarus Returns to Loftus Road

- Mark Lazarus - When I signed for Wolves, it was understood by both of us that I would not move to Wolverhampton 1962
- Wolves winger Mark Lazarus is to return to QPR after just 154 days. They received £26,000 for him, but will get him back for £14,000 – a record for Rangers. Mark played nine games and scored three goals but refused to move to Wolverhampton from London. He says: “I don’t mind dropping a couple of quid to re-join them.’”
- He scores twice in his return match in a 4-0 win over Newport. Mark later said of his time at Wolves: “Stan Cullis was the manager and a Sergeant Major type. We never really hit it off. It was a total clash of personalities. For example, I never minded getting a telling off when we were getting beat or had lost, but I can’t understand a manager having a go at you when you were winning.
- “That said, I never had any problems with the players. I used to get along fine with them. I never heard Stan say ‘Hello’ to anyone, or enquire about anybody’s health or their families. He seemed closed as a person. All he would talk about was football.
- “When I signed for Wolves, it was understood by both of us that I would not move to Wolverhampton, but once I got there, he started applying pressure on me to do so. Needless to say, I never moved up there, so I knew the writing was on the wall.”
