Sam Hammam Reportedly NOT Interested in QPR

Sam Hammam is unlikely to make a dramatic return to football.

The former Cardiff City owner is sorting out his affairs in Britain and, according to sources close to Hammam, he will not be moving back into football.

He remains a football fan, but doesn't have the cash to fund a £20m takeover at Queens Park Rangers reported in national newspapers today.

A report in today's Daily Mail suggested Hammam is preparing a QPR takeover along with close friend and ex-Crystal Palace owner Ron Noades.

But Hammam looks more likely to split his time between America, where his grown-up children live, and his home country, the Lebanon.

Hammam is no longer connected with the Bluebirds and the main way he benefited from leaving Ninian Park was that he no longer has the £24m in loan notes hanging over him.

But Hammam did not leave with any vast amounts of money and it looks certain he will not be linking up with another football club in a big way.

Joining QPR or any other club would surely be too much both financially and emotionally for a man who put his life and soul into running Cardiff City during the six years he was at the club. This is Wales
