OLLIE KEEN TO DO GALLEN DEAL
CHRIS ERRINGTON - Plymouth Herald

Plymouth Argyle manager Ian Holloway is prepared to offer striker Kevin Gallen a one-year contract. The 31-year-old (pictured left) was released by Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, after a loan spell with the Pilgrims.
Gallen made 16 appearances for Argyle, including nine starts, after arriving at Home Park in January, and scored two goals.
He was not only used as a striker by Holloway but also in a central midfield role on occasions.
Holloway told Herald Sport: "I haven't spoken to him (Gallen) yet. He's on holiday at the moment.
"I don't know what financial package he's looking for but I'm always in the market for good players and Kevin is a very good player.
"You will struggle to get experience like he has got and, just as importantly, the brain he has got."
Holloway thought 21-year-old striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake learned a lot from playing alongside Gallen last season.
"Kevin did the same thing for a fella called Les Ferdinand at QPR a few years ago," added the Pilgrims' boss.
Holloway admitted he would not offer Gallen any more than a one-year contract at this stage of his career.
The Hammersmith-born striker has also been linked with Watford, who were relegated from the Premiership last term.
Holloway said: "Kevin will probably want to weigh up his options and I expect us to be in there somewhere.
"At the end of the day, it's about him and what he wants to do."
Gallen told Herald Sport last month he would be interested in making a permanent move to Argyle.
He added: "I want to keep playing in the Championship. I believe I'm good enough."
Gallen was released by QPR after playing a total of 404 matches in two spells with them and netting 97 goals...
