Rowlands Called Up by the Republic of Ireland

FAI Official Site Preliminary Squad of 40 players named for Algarve Training Camp and Friendlies

Giovanni Trapattoni’s Assistants, Liam Brady and Marco Tardelli, were in Dublin today and announced a preliminary squad of 40 players for the Republic of Ireland senior squad’s May training camp in the Algarve and the two subsequent friendly matches against Serbia on May 24 and Columbia on May 29.

Liam Brady said: “A preliminary squad of 40 players has been selected with the the help of Don Givens for the training camp in May and the two Internationals against Serbia and Columbia on May 24 and May 29.

“We will be outlining the programme to these 40 players in next few days and that squad will be reduced to 28 in early May.”
