Blackpool vs QPR Tonight
Kaspar Gorkss' QPR travel to Ian Evatt & Danny Nardiello's Blackpool tonight. Blackpool's Squad...Blackpool's Results...Blackpool's home record is 4 wins, 5 draws, 5 defeats - (Scored 17; conceded 19)Championship Table.
LEE CAMP SET TO START
London Informer/Paul Warburton - Lee Camp to get in goal for QPR at Blackpool
Lee Camp is ready to pull on the QPR goalkeepers’ jersey at Blackpool tonight for the first time in five months.
The England U21 player steps into the breach vacated by Radek Cerny, who has pulled a hamstring in training.
Camp’s one-and-only previous appearance for the Hoops this term was a 3-2 Carling Cup win against Swindon in August.
But because Cerny had already been inked in as the number one, Camp went on loan to Nottingham Forest for three months where he helped them climb out of the relegation zone.
However, a permanent deal foundered when Forest were not prepared to meet anything like Rs’ £1m valuation for the Derby-born player. London Informer
Blackpool Gazette/Steve Canavan - 27 January 2009
- MAKESHIFT frontman Gary Taylor-Fletcher – who will tonight keep Liverpool's Krisztian Nemeth out of the starting line up – has called on his team-mates to beat moneybags QPR and do it for the bosses.
- Caretaker bosses Tony Parkes and Steve Thompson got a first victory by beating Birmingham.
And a second win in four days – which could lift Pool to 13th place, their highest position since victory over Watford at the start of November – would make it a perfect week for the management team.
"All the lads are right behind Tony and Thommo and we've been doing the right things both on and off the pitch," said Taylor-Fletcher.
"We've played well enough and bar a crazy five minutes at Coventry we would have been unbeaten in the league for quite a while.
"It's up to the chairman what he does regards the long term but I know all the lads are right behind the current managers.
"I hope the chairman makes the right decision but we think it is going well and we're happy with the way it is.
"I think what was important after Simon Grayson went was that all the regular lads, plus the regular coaches, remained – so it's the same people.
"It's not one of those where the manager has been a failure and has been sacked.
"So there was no bickering or anything – it's the same set of lads who have just got on with it and not much has changed really.
"Training has got a bit more intense and we've worked on a few more things, and I think we look quite dangerous on the things we've worked at.
"The win on Saturday was a big boost for us.
"It was crucial we got a win from one of these two home games we had and it's a big bonus that we did it in the first.
"We hadn't won for quite a while and we wanted to get a win on the board for Tony and Thommo."
"Obviously the pressure was on them but now the pressure will be right off all of us.
"We've got that little bit of a gap again now and the three points are there for the taking tonight." Blackpool Gazette

Zesh Rehman Talking About Bradford
This is Lancashire - 'First and foremost I’m here to play football'
- Zesh Rehman believes his presence at City can attract more Asian fans to Valley Parade.
But the QPR defender, who ignored other Championship interest to sign for the rest of the season, insists he has dropped down two divisions for football reasons.
Omar Khan, the club’s new Asian ambassador, was involved in Rehman’s talks with City. The Pakistan national skipper appreciates the significance of his arrival but said: “First and foremost I’m here to play football.
“The most important thing is about what happens on the pitch. I’ve got no problems with speaking to the community and helping in that way but it’s down to how I do in matches.
“I’m well aware of the Asian community around the club and hopefully I can encourage more to come along. For me, football is the perfect vehicle to bring communities together.”
Birmingham-born Rehman became the first player of Asian origin to appear in the Premiership when he made his Fulham debut at Liverpool in 2004. He played for England from under-17s to under-20s before opting to represent Pakistan at senior level.
With Rehman on board, City have allowed Mark Bower to join Luton on a month’s loan.
Rehman has worked under SEVEN different managers since joining QPR in August 2006.
He admitted: “It is unsettling because you want stability at a club. I had spells when I was a regular in the team, then a new manager would come in with different ideas and his own players and change it all round. It was hard to get established.”
Rehman, who also had a frustrating loan spell at Blackpool, added: “I was only prepared to drop down the leagues to play for this club.
“I spoke to the manager and chairmen and I know they want to get Bradford back up to where they belong. I’ve been involved in relegation battles in the past and it’s nice to be joining a club pushing for promotion – that’s a good pressure to have.”
Rehman, who goes straight into the squad at Bury tonight, is out of contract in the summer.
Stuart McCall said: “Zesh has played at a good level and comes recommended. With TJ (Moncur) going out, we were looking for somebody who can play right back and in the middle.” ...This is Lancashire
