QPR Official Site - Fulham Match Preview
Rangers welcome a much-changed Fulham outfit to Loftus Road tonight (Friday) for their final pre-season friendly of the campaign.
The latter stages of the 2006/07 season marked a huge period of change at Craven Cottage.
Hot on the heels of heavy Premiership defeats against Manchester City and Everton, Manager Chris Coleman and his assistant Steve Kean were replaced at the helm by Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez in mid-April.
Sanchez was appointed Caretaker Manager until the end of the season, but the early signs were less than positive, with a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal seeing them slip to within just one point of the dreaded relegation zone.
But victory against a Liverpool side that made wholesale changes after a mid-week Champions League tie, eventually ensured Sanchez's first win and with it their Premiership status.
Days later, Sanchez resigned from his position as Manager of Northern Ireland to become the permanent Fulham boss.
The transformation since then has been nothing short of remarkable.
Sanchez has been given the licence to spend, spend, spend by Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed and he's wasted no time at all in recruiting a hatful of new players, to add to his already experienced squad.
At the back, goalkeeper Antti Niemi has put pen to paper on a new deal, while Northern Ireland defensive pair Chris Baird and Aaron Hughes and England full-back Paul Konchesky have all inked deals at the Cottage.
Highly-rated midfielder Steve Davis joined from Aston Villa in a £4.5million transfer, while former R's winger Lee Cook penned a four-year deal for a fee of £2.5million, which could potentially rise to as much as £4.5million.
In attack, Diomansy Kamara and David Healy have joined the Fulham ranks, but Michael Brown and Heidar Helguson have left the Club, to join Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers respectively.
Whether or not the new faces make an immediate difference remains to be seen, but hope suddenly springs eternal at the Cottage, with a top-ten finish the least Fulham fans will expect in Sanchez's first full season in charge of the Premiership Club.

QPR OFFICIAL SITE - STRONG SIDE EXPECTED

Rangers boss John Gregory is expected to name a strong side for the visit of Fulham this evening.
The R's chief took a cautious approach to Tuesday night's match at Harrow Borough - no-one was involved for the full 90 minutes - but is likely to push his players harder tonight when a number are expected to play the entire match.
Lee Camp will be making his first appearance at Loftus Road since completing his permanent transfer from Derby County.
The match will also see home debuts for recent acquisitions Ben Sahar (loan) and Simon Walton, while defender Michael Mancienne (loan) will also be making his return to W12.
R's old boy Lee Cook is expected to make his debut for Fulham tonight, on his 25th birthday. QPR
