Luton's Ex-QPR Richard Langley to Miss Most of Season After Cruciate Ligament Injury

Luton Today - Hatters midfielder requires surgery on knee injury
Hatters midfielder Richard Langley looks set to be out for the majority of the season after damaging knee ligaments.
Langley was stretchered off late on in the 0-0 friendly draw at Rushden & Diamonds the weekend before last.

Scans have revealed that the 27-year-old has injured his cruciate ligaments and the former QPR man will now require surgery.

Luton manager Kevin
Blackwell told Luton Today: "Langley's going to have to have an operation as he's done his cruciate ligaments.

"I don't think we're going to be seeing him again this side of Easter. It's a blow for Richard because I know he was keen to impress this season."

Langley's injury is an added set-back to Blackwell as the midfielder had been used as an emergency centre-half during the pre-season to cover for Town's lack of defensive options.
