Balanta Staying at Wycombe

The Club can confirm it has reached agreement with Wycombe Wanderers Football Club to extend Angelo Balanta's loan deal.
The 18 year-old striker initially penned a two month loan deal with the League Two front-runners, but that agreement has now been extended until Saturday 14th February 2009.
Under the terms of the deal, Balanta - who has scored two goals in five appearances for the Chairboys - can be recalled at 24 hours notice.
R's boss Paulo Sousa told www.qpr.co.uk: "Angelo is benefitting greatly from the experience he is getting at Wycombe.
"He is playing regularly in a very good environment and this will only help him to develop as a player.
"I have spoken to (Wycombe Manager) Peter Taylor who has been very impressed by him, and of course, we will continue to monitor his progress over the coming weeks." QPR

- The Blues have been boosted ahead of their trip to Shrewsbury on Saturday with the news that Angelo Balanta has extended his loan deal with the club until Saturday 14th February, wwfc.com can exclusively reveal.
- The QPR youngster joined the club on November 14th on a two-month deal but after impressing during his first month with the Blues, manager Peter Taylor has extended the deal by a further 30 days.
-Balanta has scored twice in the Wanderers' last three games, both of them stunning strikes, his first for the club was the second in the 4-0 win over Macclesfield at Adams Park and the other came in the Blues' loss at Aldershot Town on Saturday 6th December.
- Angelo missed the Blues' game with Luton Town at the weekend due to injury but Peter Taylor is hopeful that the 18-year-old will be fit for the trip to the ProStar Stadium on Saturday.
- Taylor said after the game with the Hatters: "It's only a very, very slight hamstring strain or what they call a spasm. It's not even a tear but I just didn't want to take that chance. I'm confident he will be fit for Saturday." Wycombe
