Parejo delighted at Real Madrid return
- Dani Parejo spoke on Thursday about his joy at being able to make a quick return to form part of the Real Madrid first team squad.
- The 19-year-old has been recalled from a loan spell at English Championship (second division) side Queens Park Rangers (QPR) to give more depth to the Real Madrid attack.
- Parejo was only a limited success in his English adventure, losing his place in the QPR first team as the club made a disappointing start to the campaign. He made 14 league appearances for the London-based outfit and failed to score any goals.
- However, Real Madrid sees him as part of the solution to their injury crisis that has left them without players such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ruben de la Red and Mahamadou Diarra, all of whom willmiss the rest of the season. Parejo is delighted to be given the chance.
- "You can never say 'no' to Real Madrid and I have waited for this moment for many years," Parejo told sports paper Diario AS.
- Apart from his brief spell in England, the youngster has spent his entire career in the Real Madrid youth system and last season he scored 10 goals in 33 outings with their "B" team. Nevertheless, he feels that he has benefited from his half season with QPR.
- "I am returning to Real Madrid more complete as a person and as a footballer, but also with the hopes that all former youth team players have."
-"Now I want to help the team all that I can," he concluded.
- Parejo has his first training session with the first team on Thursday morning. Xinhua

Meet Daniel Parejo

- Daniel Parejo returns to his home Club as a member of the first team. The youth system player stands out for his vision, his exquisite technique -he is a specialist at taking set pieces- and his powerful shot. The Under-19 European champion returns to Real Madrid after a brief spell at Queens Park Rangers.
- Daniel Parejo joined Real Madrid's Under-13 side after playing for his fathers team UD Espinilla (Coslada). In just one year, he managed to play for the Under-20 A side, Real Madrid C and Castilla, finishing the season off with a brilliant free-kick goal that made Spain's Under-19 squad European champions.
- He was a starter in 33 games with Castilla last season and scored ten goals, becoming a key player on the team.
- His excellent run at Castilla earned him Bernd Schuster's trust. The German coach had him train with the first team on numerous occasions. Parejo even worked out with the squad during the pre-season. He scored Real Madrid's victory goal against Hamburg in the Emirates Cup clash.
- He was loaned out to English First Division team Queens Park Rangers at the end of the pre-season. He enjoyed much playing time and managed to perform very well in a tough and competitive league.
- "Raúl, Casillas and Guti are the players I look up to," said Parejo when he was part of Real Madrid's academy, "These three great players started out in the youth system and have gone on to be successful at Real Madrid. I think about achieving such greatness whenever I see them. I am young and patient." Real Madrid
