QPR Official Site - A NEW KIT FOR A NEW ERA...
Posted on: Fri 30 Apr 2010
- Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to reveal the identity of our new home kit for the 2010/11 campaign - available for pre-order now.
- The strip, which will be worn by the R's First Team in our final fixture of the season against Newcastle United on Sunday lunchtime, features the iconic Blue and White Hoops, as well as a new thin red piping, harping back to the popular Guinness jersey from the early 1980's.
- R's ace Akos Buzsaky, who modeled the kit at our official launch earlier this week, is a huge advocate of the new strip, commenting: "It's very nice - I really like the way it looks. Hopefully the fans will like it as much as we do.
- "The most important thing is that it is a successful kit, and that is down to us."
- Fellow midfielder Lee Cook added: "I always like it when the new kit comes out, and this one is really smart.
- "They've brought the red bit back, and the badge is now on the side which looks really good. The whole kit is a lot better."
- The new home jersey retains the traditional hoops in reflex blue and white, but this year, the Lotto Sport Italia logo is positioned on the left side of the jersey, with the QPR Club Crest situated on the right. The new Gulf Air logo is once again placed within the blue hoops, matching the signage around Loftus Road.
- *To pre-order your new QPR home shirt - priced £39.99 (adults) - log on to www.shop.qpr.co.uk or call QPR Direct on 0870 240 4547 now! There are less than 1,000 shirts available at this stage - on a first come, first served basis. Order today and you'll receive your new shirt by the start of June." QPR

QPR Official Site - THE NEW 2010/11 HOME SHIRT - EXPLAINED
- Created by Lotto's Research and Development Centre in close co-operation with Queens Park Rangers Football Club, the new team uniforms are the right fusion of designs characterising the Club in the past and present, integrating the Club crest.
- The First Team kit features emphasis on the collar which is characterised by a triangle under the neck-line indicating the centre of the jersey. The colours chosen for this home jersey are the traditional QPR colours: white and reflex blue. The sleeves are characterised by contrast inserts which creates an ideal location for the Lotto logo.
- The shirt has a fitted shape fit and is made of Poly Double Mesh 10, an extremely lightweight, breathable elasticated fabric that ensures maximum comfort and the least amount of fatigue during play.
- The shorts are in the colour variant white and reflex blue. As well as the Lotto logos on the side, the team crest stands out in a reduced and more proportioned size than on the shirt." QPR

- England U19s Head Coach Noel Blake has named an 18-man squad for the Elite Qualifying Round games in Ukraine next month, as the Young Lions look to reach the European Championship Finals for the third successive year.
- The Young Lions know that they must top a four team group including current champions Ukraine, Republic Of Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina in May if they are to achieve their target and secure a place in the last eight, so Blake has called upon an experienced squad, all of which have featured for the U19s over the course of this season.
- There are five players in the squad who were involved at last summer's Finals, also held in Ukraine, including the competition's Golden Boot winner Nathan Delfouneso.
- Declan Rudd, Matthew James, Andros Townsend and Matthew Briggs were also part of the group which reached the Final in Donetsk, only to miss out on the title against Ukraine.
- England open up the Elite Round when they take on Ireland at the Obolon Arena in Kiev on Wednesday 26 May, before facing Bosnia at the same venue two days later.
- They will then face the hosts at the Valeriy Lobanovskiyy Stadium in Kiev on 31 May, with the overall winners of the group going on to feature in the Finals in France in July." Football Association
