OXFORD UNITED - United to take on QPR
- United are pleased to announce a prestigious pre-season game against Queen's Park Rangers.
Matches against QPR always bring back memories for United supporters of 1986 and the Milk Cup final but the modern day Rangers are a side who will be expected to challenge for promotion to the Premier League next time around.
The game will take place at the Kassam Stadium on Friday 24th July, kick off at 7.45pm. Ticket prices will be announced closer to the time. Oxford
QPR Official Site - R'S SET FOR U'S DATE
-The R's will travel to Blue Square Conference outfit Oxford United for a pre-season friendly.
Rangers will head to the Kassam Stadium on Friday 24th July (7.45pm kick-off).
Chris Wilder's side finished the 2008/09 campaign in seventh place.
Wilder - who recently penned a new three year deal - turned Oxford's form around after taking over in December, with United in the bottom half of the Blue Square Premier.
A run of only three league defeats in 23 games saw the U's only miss out on a play-off place because of a controversial points deduction for fielding an unregistered player.
Ticket details will be announced in due course.
