QPR goalkeeper Lee Camp believes manager Iain Dowie's experience can take the Hoops into the Premier League.
Camp highlighted Dowie's success at Crystal Palace where he led the Eagles into the top flight by beating West Ham in the 2004 play-off final.
"It is a very good appointment," Camp told the club's official website. "He has proven at this level that he can take a team out of the division in a relatively short period of time."
Dowie was appointed Rs manager in May and Camp is looking forward to working with the former Charlton and Coventry boss.
Camp added: "Everybody wants to play for a manager that you respect and look up to. If you can get a manager who can push your buttons to make you play to your best it is a really good thing." Teamtalk

Bedford Today/Mark Wood - Hatters left shocked by Furlong exit
Frustrated Town disappointed to see striker depart
Frustrated Hatters have been shocked by the news that last season's joint-top goalscorer Paul Furlong has signed for Southend United without their knowledge.
The 39-year-old striker is still technically under contract at Kenilworth Road and, although Southend may have broken the rules in his signing, LTFC2020 director Stephen Browne does not think the club will take any action.
He said: "The first we knew about it was the Southend website.
"As far as we were aware he was still a player contracted to Luton Town.
"We would have expected him to report back for pre-season training.

"We will hopefully be out of administration by the end of July and we would have had an opportunity to speak to him.

"Paul is a great guy and of course we wish him the best.

"He is what you would call a model pro but we are a little bit frustrated that the rules haven't been followed, but I'm sure he will have a good season with them."
