The Sun - QPR land Zam in £5m double raid
MEGA-RICH QPR will snap up West Ham’s Bobby Zamora and Ben Watson from Crystal Palace for £5million.
Striker Zamora, 27, and midfielder Watson, 22, will cost £2.5m each as Rangers bid for promotion to the Premier League.

Meanwhile: - This is Local London/Epson Guardian/Graham Moody - Exclusive: Watson set to leave Selhurst
Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock expects star midfielder Ben Watson to leave this summer.
But the Yorkshireman warned Iain Dowie and Queens' Park Rangers they will have to significantly up their rumoured £1.25m bid to nab the 22-year-old.
Despite offering Watson an extension to his current deal, which runs for one more year, Warnock is not optimistic he will be at Selhurst Park come August.
He said: "We have offered Ben a new contract and a very good contract but my first impressions are that he wants to try something different.
"He has gone away on holiday now and will let us know when he gets back. But to me it seemed like he is ready for a move."
Watson has previously hinted he would seek a move to a Premiership club this summer if Palace failed to gain promotion, with both Bolton Wanderers and Middlesborough linked with bids for him.
But Championship rivals QPR, managed by former Eagles boss Dowie, are also interested and Warnock, despite not having seen confirmation of the bid, said it would take a lot more than £1.25m to prise the former England U21 star away from SE25. He said: "I do think there must be truth in it because of the Iain Dowie link but it's a bit of a derogatory offer if it is that."
Having already lost captain Mark Hudson to Charlton Athletic and top scorer Clinton Morrison looking increasingly unlikely to sign a new contract, Palace face losing the spine of their side this summer should Watson move on.
Warnock has already replaced Hudson with Patrick McCarthy though and insists he would do the same if Watson left.
He said: "It would be like Hudson, you have to get somebody better in." Epsom Guardian

Birthday for Ex-QPR Star, Bob Hazell
Almost 50! You can't think of QPR's FA Cup Final run withouth thinking of Bob Hazell. Born June 14 1959 - One of the first signings Tommy Docherty made for QPR after our relegation, Hazell starred for QPR in their FA Cup Final season and their following Division II Championship season.

And the News from a Year Ago: Paladini and Caliendo Reportedly Prepared to Sell
Dave McIntyre - Ealing Gazette - Paladini ready to sell up - Jun 14 2007- Chairman to tell shareholders he will accept £4m
QPR'S Italian owners are ready to sell the club for around £4 million.
Chairman Gianni Paladini says he is willing to part with his shares for the price he bought them for and that fellow investors Antonio Caliendo and Franco Zanotti will do the same.
It means that after a year of being merely open to offers, the trio - who together own around 62 per cent of the club - have now gone a step further and effectively put Rangers up for sale.
A group fronted by former Liverpool and Tottenham striker Ronny Rosenthal is among a number of parties to have expressed an interest. Another group is due to enter discussions about a possible takeover today (Thursday).
Paladini paid around £650,000 for a 22 per cent stake back in 2004 and ousted Bill Power as chairman a year later following a bitter struggle for control.
