UPDATE: Mail - QPR to demote current boss Sousa in shake-up this summer
[But just based on the Mirror story; not independently reporting]
- Queens Park Rangers will shake up their management team next season, with the Londoners on the hunt for a new man who will take over from Paulo Sousa at the helm.
Sousa, whose title is first team coach, has found it difficult to turn around the club's fortunes since replacing Iain Dowie in November, and has been told a new man will come above him at the end of the season.
- The club's wealthy owners are looking for a new manager or director of football, according to a report in the Mirror.
A new man will come in above current manager Paulo Sousa at QPR in the summer
QPR have fallen out of the play-off reckoning in recent weeks and currently sit in 11th place in the Championship table.
Among those who might be considered for the post are Paul Ince, out of work since being sacked by Blackburn, Bristol City's Gary Johnson and MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo.
Lawrie Sanchez and Alan Pardew are also managers currently out of work, who would surely jump at the chance to manage the London club. Mail
Daily Mirror/Alan Nixon - QPR to demote manager Paulo Sousa in summer shake-up
- QPR will shake up their management team next season - with Paulo Sousa being demoted in the new-look regime.
- Sousa, whose title is first team coach, has found it hard to turn round the club's fortunes and was told a new man will come in above him at the end of this campaign.
- He still has a year left on his contract and may stay on at Loftus Road, but in reality will not call the shots.
- The Portugal legend was the surprise replacement for axed Iain Dowie and came to west London as a big-name former player with fresh ideas. But he has failed to provide tactical inspiration and Rangers have slipped out of the Championship play-off race.
- The club, whose wealthy owners have seen other teams do far better with less cash, are looking for a new manager or director of football. Among possible targets are Paul Ince, Bristol City's Gary Johnson and MK Dons chief Roberto Di Matteo. Mirror

- If the story is accurate (and supposedly several names are mentioned as to whom QPR might like to appoint as manager or Director of Football), one might well wonder whether Sousa would remain at QPR under those circumstances.
