De Canio (and Warnock's) Post Match Comments

QPR OFFICIAL SITE - WORK TO DO
Luigi De Canio refused to be downbeat after seeing his QPR side forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace owing to a late goal for the hosts by Clinton Morrison.
"I was pleased with the mentality and application of the players, and I am sure if we keep that up then we will improve," said the R's First Team Coach.
But he also had some harsh words for his players despite them producing some impressive passing football.
"Some of the things we were doing I had specifically told the players not to do in training," he said.
"When they change these behaviours, I am sure we will get better results."
After three matches in charge, De Canio has seen his team win, draw and lose, and he added: "We have three points less than we should have, which is down to a lack of concentration in the closing stages of matches.
"That is something we will have to work on." QPR

WARNOCK WARNING WORKS FOR PALACE - By Andy Sims, PA Sport

Neil Warnock gave his new Crystal Palace charges their first taste of his infamous temper in their 1-1 Coca-Cola Championship draw against QPR.
Clinton Morrison's late strike salvaged a point for Palace, after Rangers had led courtesy of Scott Sinclair's header near the end of the first half.
Warnock later admitted he laid into his players at half-time for failing to deal with the cross from Akos Buzsaky which led to QPR's opener.
His rant had the desired effect: two minutes from time, Morrison chalked up his 100th goal for the Eagles when he headed Mark Kennedy's centre past Lee Camp.
"I was disappointed with their goal - we should have stopped the cross," said Warnock.
"The desire was missing a little bit, so I had to have a few words for the first time - now they know what I'm like.
"But the spirit in the second half was good, and you'd have thought we'd won the World Cup at the end.
"Clinton deserved his goal, and I thought he played well today."
Palace remain marooned in the bottom three, and a relegation may be looming.
Warnock has been in charge for six games without seeing his new side register a victory - but he is refusing to panic.
"In the short term, we need points and we need to climb the table - and it's conceivable that we can do that," he believes.
"It's frustrating, but you have to look further ahead. In the long term, I'm quite optimistic."

Rangers should have been out of sight long before Morrison struck - with goalkeeper Julian Speroni pulling off superb saves to deny Buzsaky, Sinclair and Rowan Vine in the second half.
"We had three great chances, but their goalkeeper played extremely well," said manager Luigi De Canio.
"But we have got a point - which, in our position in the table, is something to build on.
"It's important we get better and don't make mistakes to allow the opposition to score - and I hope we won't face such a good goalkeeper every week."
Sinclair opened his goalscoring account for Rangers a week after joining on loan from Chelsea, and de Canio has been impressed by the teenage winger in his short time at the club.
"Scott has only been here a few days, and we have played two games close to each other so we haven't had much of a chance to train," he said.
"But in the short time he's been here, he has settled in very well." Sporting Life
