OXFORD UNITED - Aimie ends loan deal
Kieron St Aimie's loan at United has ended and the striker has returned to QPR.
The 18 year old made three appearances during his time at the club, the last one up front at home to Ebbsfleet on Saturday, but Darren Patterson allowed St Aimie to return to Loftus Road after that match. Darren told us
"Kieron hasn't quite done enough during the matches. He's looked quick and lively in training but had been out of the game for a while before he came here and maybe didn't quite have that match sharpness. We need someone for now, someone who will have an impact, and so we had a word after the game on Saturday and we decided that it's best for all concerned if Kieron goes back to QPR and tries to make an impression with their new manager.
"He's a nice lad and it's a shame it didn't work out for him." Oxford
QPR Official Site - ST AIMIE RETURNS
R's midfielder Kieron St Aimie has returned from his loan spell at Blue Square Premier division side Oxford United.
The 18 year-old made three appearances during his time at the Club, the last one up-front at home to Ebbsfleet on Saturday.
New U's boss Darren Patterson wished St Aimie all the best on his return to W12, commenting: "Kieron's a great lad, but we decided that it's best for all concerned that he goes back to QPR and tries to make an impression with their new Manager." QPR
Kanuyuka plays for QPR Reserves tonight. Several senior players are not in the squad.
QPR Official Site - KANYUKA ON COMEBACK TRAIL
R's defender Pat Kanyuka returns to Reserve team action tonight (Tuesday), as Crystal Palace make the short trip to Loftus Road in the Pontins Holiday's Combination League.
The 20 year-old, who has been sidelined with a thigh injury since our trip to Molineux in late April, is expected to line-up at centre-half in a side largely made up of Under-18 players.
Kanyuka will partner Andrew Howell in the heart of the R's defence, while Lee Brown and Billy Coyne occupy the full-back berths in front of goalkeeper Jake Cole.
The midfield quartet consists of Danny Davenport, Matt O'Brien, Chris Arthur and Ro one Rose, while Antonio German and Angelo Balanta are expected to start in attack.
QPR Res: Cole, Coyne, Brown, Howell, Kanyuka, Davenport, O'Brien, Arthur, Rose, German, Balanta. Subs (from): Crowther, Folkes, Vanterpool, Forde, Morgan. QPR
Derby Evening Telegraph - Bob Malcolm Remembered
NICHOLSON: MALCOLM'S QPR ROLE AS HE SLIPS OUT OF DERBY PICTURE
Bob Malcolm produced one of the most impressive debuts by a Derby County player in recent years.
The former Rangers player signed as a free agent in September last year and made his bow against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Derby and Billy Davies needed a good result after successive defeats by Colchester and Sunderland, and Steve Howard's first-half header was enough to sink Wolves.
Davies was delighted with Malcolm.
"Bob is a great player and he will be a great addition for us," said the manager.
Malcolm's organising, competitive edge and composure on the ball helped Derby to click on the night.
He appeared to be the defensive midfielder the team was crying out for, and still is.
However, his display remains the highlight of a fast- fading Derby career.
An ankle injury soon afterwards halted Malcolm's progress.
He recovered but never regained his form and although he was available for selection, never made another appearance in the final four months of the campaign. He has been surplus to requirements for much of this season.
His one Premier League start is one he will want to forget, having been substituted after an hour of the 6-0 thrashing at Liverpool.
Now Malcolm, whose contract expires in the summer, has been allowed out on loan to Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers. His fine performance at Wolves is a distant memory.
He has slipped out of the picture at Derby and with Davies desperate to shake up the squad in the January transfer window, the chances of Malcolm figuring in the first team again look slim Derby Telegraph
