SETANTA SPORTS Bosnich determined to play again - by Owen Evans, 08 November 2007
Australian goalkeeper Mark Bosnich is vying to make a dramatic return to professional football - four years after he was kicked out of the game for failing a drug test.
Bosnich, 35, spent 13 years in English football with Aston Villa and Manchester United before Chelsea sacked him for testing positive for cocaine.
However, former manager John Gregory threw him a lifeline in the summer when he invited him to train with QPR.
"I came down in July. I was fortunate that the ex-manager asked me to come and train, and I came so I could get healthy," Bosnich said.
"Initially it was so I could get fit but after a couple of weeks I thought that if I could get back in shape I could get back into football again.
"Am I interested in joining a club? Definitely.
"You don't realise how much you miss something until it's gone. I went through a really tough period, but I didn't moan I just got on with it and now I've come through it.
"Football was my life and I want to get back into it." Setanta
