Eight Hours Left: No Announced QPR Transfers...A Definite No: No Ziegler From Spurs to QPR (Gone to Italy!)

-
QPR have been "reliably" linked to at least two players: Danny Cullip at Nottingham Forest and Spurs Reto Ziegler. Thus far no announcement re Cullip and Ziegler has gone off on loan to Italy.

Yesterday John Gregory said on the Official Site
"John Gregory is refusing to rule out the chance of bringing in one more player before the transfer window slams shut at midnight on Wednesday.
Hot on the heels of adding Adam Bolder to his squad over the weekend, Gregory revealed exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk that there could be one more deal in the pipeline ahead of the transfer deadline.
"Hopefully we'll be able to bring in one more before Wednesday's deadline and he would go straight into the side,'' Gregory told www.qpr.co.uk.
"We've been in the hunt for a number of players since I arrived here in September, but we're not going to just change faces for the sake of it.
"The one's that come in have to be better than the one's they're replacing, but hopefully we'll be able to bring one more in before the window closes.'' QPR

RETO ON LOAN
Agreement has been reached with Sampdoria for the loan transfer of Reto Ziegler until the end of the season.
The Swiss international joined us from Grasshoppers in August 2004 and went on to make 31 appearances in his first season, scoring one goal at the Lane against Everton.
Last season the 21-year-old spent time away from the Lane on loan at both Hamburg (14 appearances) and Wigan (13), the latter spell including a substitute appearance against Manchester United in the Carling Cup final.
He has featured in four First Team games this season and now heads off to Genoa and the team that currently sit 10th in the Serie A standings.
