From Watford Official Site "Where Are They Now"?
"...A 2-0 win over Bolton at Wembley on 31 May 1999 meant the Hornets were finally in 'The Promised Land'.The squad was very different to today's Premier League side, but where did they all go after Watford?
Chris Day
Part of the Crystal Palace bid for Kevin Miller and featured 11 times in the Premiership as he provided cover for Chamberlain.
His most remarkable appearance was in the 1-0 win at Anfield but he became third choice after Baardsen's arrival and was loaned to Lincoln.
In 2001, Day was free transferred to QPR but a broken leg interrupted his progress.
After his recovery he played regularly in 2003 before losing his place to loanee Lee Camp in February 2004 after sustaining another injury.
Regained no. 1 jersey after QPR's promotion to the Championship but the signing of Simon Royce curtailed his first team involvement.
After a loan at Preston, he was allowed to move on a free to Oldham before moving again to current club Millwall.Watford
Darren Ward
Was deemed to inexperienced to play in the top flight season so spent most of it on loan at QPR.
He was shipped out to Millwall in 2001 for £500,000 and featured in the 2005 FA Cup final vs. Manchester United.
In the same year, he was snapped up by newly promoted Crystal Palace where he has now regained his starting birth. Watford
[Almost QPR!]. Micah Hyde
Jamaican signed from Cambridge United in 1997 for £250,000, he was ever-present in the heart of the midfield alongside Richard Johnson when the Australian was fit, making 38 starts and coming on once.
In 2004 was sold to Burnley where he has regained his first team place after being placed on then off the transfer-list at the end of last season by Steve Cotterill.
Richard Johnson
The Australian made 22 starts and 3 sub appearances as Watford struggled in the Premiership.
Injury disrupted his season and it ended badly when he ruptured knee ligaments towards the end of the season.
A year later he returned but a relapse forced him to miss the 2001/02 season.
Another injury forced him out near the end of the 02/03 campaign and he was loaned to Northampton.
He played a handful of games for the Hornets before he was released in October 2003 and was snapped up by Colchester but after only one Football League Trophy game he moved to Stoke City.
After nine appearances he left for QPR in February 2004 and helped them gain promotion.
Johnson could not impress in the Championship and was loaned to MK Dons then released.
Returned home to Australia with Newcastle Jets and is now on the books at New Zealand Knights.
Alexandre Bonnot
Another midfielder who was frequently injured, the Frenchman made 13 appearances in all.
Was released by Vialli and joined QPR till 2002 when he moved back to France.
Is now at Raphaelois Stage in the French lower leagues.
Michael Ngonge
Democratic Republic of the Congo international made 19 starts and a further 5 sub appearances.
He began the season well but faded and fell out of favour with Graham Taylor and was loaned to Huddersfield in March of 2000.
After relegation, he was sold to QPR for £50,000. He played 15 times and then moved to Kilmarnock in the same season and retired at the end of it. Watford
Dominic Foley
Mostly confined to sub apps, the Irishman was loaned to QPR twice, Swindon, Southend and Oxford United before leaving for SC Braga in 2003.
A season with Irish side Bohemians followed and is currently in Belgium with KAA Gent. Watford
