Georges Santos has joined Oxford United on loan until the end of the season.
The French central defender will link up with the Conference side this morning, and will be available for the home match with Morecambe at the weekend.
Santos has found first team appearances increasingly difficult to come by, with his last start at Yeovil at the end of October. The 36-year-old's departure to the Kassam Stadium also comes a day after Albion signed Arsenal defender Joe O'Cearuill on a month's loan.
Albion number two Dean White told seagulls.co.uk, "George wanted to play games, and at his age he needs to play.
"He's had a few injuries and has found it difficult to get games with us, so this is an opportunity for him to go and play regular football." Brighton

Gino Padula's Nottingham Forest contract has today been terminated by mutual consent, making the Argentinean a free agent.
The 30 year old left back struggled to make an impact at The City Ground after arriving on a free transfer in the summer of 2005.
