QPR Statement -LOAN RANGER
QPR have reached agreement with Chelsea to extend Michael Mancienne's loan deal until the end of the season.
The 19 year-old defender, who joined the R's in mid-October, will remain a QPR player until the end of the current Coca Cola Championship campaign.
Mancienne - whose current loan deal was due to expire at midnight on Tuesday - has made 16 appearances in all competitions so far this season and is now an integral member of John Gregory's first team squad.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk from the team hotel in Hull, Gregory revealed his delight at the news: "We're thrilled.
"Over the last three or four matches he's come on leaps and bounds and just keeps on getting better and better.
"He wears his heart on his sleeve and gives 110 per-cent in everything he does.''
Gregory continued: "It remains to be seen what happens with Michael and Chelsea in the future, but all I know is that they're constantly monitoring him and they're happy with his progress.
"Michael and Jimmy (Smith) will go back at the end of the season, but what happens thereafter is dependant on Jose Mourinho and Chelsea Football Club.''QPR
