Parker Pens:
CHARLTON'S shock defeat against my old club QPR last Saturday was their third in a row.
Ability-wise, Charlton were far superior but I felt they lacked a bit of passion. Having the best tools in the box doesn't always guarantee the best job done on the day.
The last time a striker hit the back of the net for the Addicks was almost a month ago against Hull... . Report
DAILY MAIL - QPR fishing for new sponsors
Queens Park Rangers are understood to be in the market for a new sponsor, with Indian beer maker Kingfisher in the frame.
The company, which is also an airline, is a major sponsor of the Toyota Formula One team and its billionaire owner Vijay Mallya is a friend of QPR chiefs Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone.
Rangers' existing sponsor is a used car dealership, Cargiant, which was always going to be a difficult association with owners so closely linked to the top end of the motoring market.
Briatore's influence could also see the club gain a new shirt supplier, with Italian firm Kappa being lined up. Mail
Tommy Tynan Offers his view of why Akos Buzsaky left Plymouth for QPR
Why he's left is another story and I don't want to be too harsh about it, but I think it's probably for one thing - more money.
To my mind, that's fair enough, because football is just like any other job - if somebody offers you more money, you're probably going to accept it.
I know he was sorry to leave Plymouth, but it would have been good if he'd actually said he'd left for better money, so people would understand.
I, personally, don't think he's left for football reasons - for me, it's got to be money.
People are going to wonder why he's going from a side who are doing well in the table to a team like Queens Park Rangers, who are struggling in the Championship at the moment - especially as Argyle offered him a new contract.
I know QPR have got a new manager and they've obviously got the money, but the fact is that Rangers are at the bottom of the table.
In a way, I think Akos (pictured right) has let people down here a bit, but good luck to him and I hope he does well.
Tony Capaldi was a lovely lad, but he left for the same reasons and this is the problem we've got down here.
The Argyle players get decent money, but not great money. People talk to each other and they tell someone they are getting three times as much as the other - I'm afraid that's what happens in football.
Then you get the agents, who are not going to go away - they can find out what every player is earning in the Championship.
Then there's the problem that the wages down in this part of the world are not that high.
The thing is that football is not a sport any more - it's big money and the way the rules are now, players are perfectly within their rights to move on if a better offer comes - Plymouth Herald
