And the Official Site ammends its post to characterize Ross's tenure of 20-plus years' but still doesn't quite get it right and for some reason, removes the fact that Ross joined in 1978.
Amended - QPR Official Site - ROSS RETIRES
Bobby Ross has retired from his duties at QPR following 20-plus years' loyal service with the Club.
Ross, who won the League Cup with Scottish outfit Hearts as a player before enjoying nine years with Brentford, joined QPR as a Coach at our Centre of Excellence.
Following the transition to Academy status, Ross was named Schoolboy Development Officer, where he built a fantastic reputation as an excellent coach and mentor to the up-and-coming players.
Ross, a popular figure amongst the R's fans who have met him over the years, also assisted the day-to-day running at our Harlington Training Ground.
After an incredible 50 years in football, Ross has decided the time has finally come to hang up his boots.
Kit Manager Gary Doyle, who worked closely with Ross, told www.qpr.co.uk: "Bob was an absolutely fantastic bloke to have around the place, and it was a privilege to work with him for so many years.
"Players are always a good judge of character, and they all loved Bob, so that tells you everything.
"Bob worked tirelessly for this Football Club, and was always one of the first in and one of the last to leave.
"I have never known anyone to have such enthusiasm and love for football, and it was infectious.
"The training ground is certainly a quieter place without him about, but we'll all be keeping in touch with him, there's no doubt about that. My only concern is that he's got plenty of time to work on his golf handicap now!"
Ross has passed on his best wishes for the Club and is now looking forward to supporting the R's for many years to come.
Meanwhile, Craig Berry has joined the Club as Assistant to Doyle." (Official Site
